It's plain and simple: Tetris Effect is the best Tetris-game ever. It looks gorgeous and VR is amazing. Just buy this game.

Ultimately Tetris Effect is a rewarding experience, widely curated in its artistic dimension and enhanced by a complete and functional compatibility with virtual reality; the gameplay sees in the Zone the most important introduction of the enhance title, which does not benefit from great additions compared to the canonical Tetris recipe.

Tetris Effect is the perfect evolution of the series and one of the best Tetris in general.

An absolute delight, Tetris Effect twists and bends the mind of the player like few other games are capable of. While not quite a revolution of the classic premise, Effect provides players of all experiences the chance to discover what has made the franchise so iconic while also pointing towards the future.

Tetris Effect is the full realization of what Miziguchi set out to do when he first made Lumines all those years ago. In a word, Tetris Effect is transcendent: the perfect synchronization of puzzle game, art, and music. Beyond the sights and sounds, it’s got killer-app worthy PSVR compatibility. I’ve already spent a good five hours on Effect, and I’m not done yet thanks to its various extra modes. Who would have thought that a Tetris game would be considered as a Game of the Year contender? Videos and screenshots alone aren’t enough to explain its genius; you only have to experience it yourself to see it.

With a wide variety of options, modes, and secrets at players’ disposal, Tetris Effect is the best puzzle game since the original NES Tetris release in 1984. Regardless of the missing multiplayer, there’s something here for everyone, and players should not overlook this incredible experience. The Decahexatris awaits!

With fantastic music and a stellar visual presentation, this is an easy choice for any Tetris fan. I still find myself humming music from this game, even two years after the original release. Even without VR, this is still an excellent puzzle experience.

Tetris Effect expands the appeal of the puzzle genre and introduces cool new mechanics, all without sacrificing or compromising the core gameplay of one of the best and most iconic games of all time. It’s not for everyone, but if you’ve ever been bitten by the Tetris bug in the past, or have enjoyed Mizuguchi’s past experiments in synesthesia, you can’t go wrong with Tetris Effect.

Unlike many 'Optional VR' games, Tetris Effect thrives in VR, and a PlayStation VR headset is by far the best way of experiencing this game. Tetris Effect is a very polished, absorbing, and beautiful experience, and well worth checking out for anybody who has a PlayStation 4, especially if they also have a PSVR headset.

Timeless gameplay and new music make Tetris Effect quite worthwhile in my eyes. For those with access to PSVR, the immersive visuals make it an easy recommendation.

Tetris Effect is Tetsuya Mizuguchi's masterpiece; a striking blend of Tetris, psychedelic visuals and a terrific soundtrack that elevates this unassuming title into classic territory already.

Resonair and Monstars have reinvented something I didn’t think could be reinvented. They have created as much an experience as they have a game.

Tetris Effect is the puzzle game Mizuguchi has been wanting to make for almost fifteen years. Though not the most robust Tetris experience, the game is a feast for the eyes, ears, and the soul.

Tetris Effect is a combination of brilliant dynamic music, spectacular visuals, and solid Tetris gameplay, all rolled into one must-have package. Not only will you be treating yourself to a great version of Tetris, but you’ll also be giving your eyes and ears a gift they’ll never forget. On top of the 1-2 hour ‘story mode’, you can also try out fifteen set modes/playstyles as well as participate in weekly challenges. There’s a lot of content and fans of the classic game will simply love what the developers have done with the license this time around.

Tetris Effect is a masterpiece. Tetsuya Mizuguchi took a tried and true classic and reinvented the entire experience around it, taking a game about falling blocks and making it an emotional journey.

The greatest strenght in Tetris Effect is that it doesn't try to reinvent the wheel. Instead, it uses all powers available to reinforce the game's effect on the mind

In fact, Tetris Effect on PlayStation VR is arguably not something you play at all - it's an experience, albeit one built on well-trodden gameplay and a superlative soundtrack. It's synaesthesia incarnate, an orchestra conducted by the player, and well worth the price of admission.
