Jagged Alliance: Rage! Reviews
Jagged Alliance Rage is missing a few important features that would make it Jagged Alliance 3. It is a damn good game that is a perfect stepping stone for another in the franchise.
Hopefully, the developer will listen to their public and patch things up, so that Jagged Alliance: Rage! can reach its true potential.
Despite AI issues, low Variety of Weapons and some minor problems, the core gameplay of Jagged Alliance: Rage is fun and attractive and it is successful as an spin-off game. If you like turn-based strategy games or tactical shooter games, you probably love this game. Fun gameplay elements, deep combat system and beautiful art style, made Jagged Alliance: Rage a good choice for fans of this genre and Jagged Alliance series. It is a game that worth to try.

If you're looking for a new strategy RPG to take for a spin on PlayStation 4, then Jagged Alliance: Rage is a good option. It's not going to set the genre on fire, and some might not like the reduced scope of the number of mercenaries you take you on a mission, but what's here is solid, challenging and fun.
Cliffhanger Productions heads the latest attempt revive the Jagged Alliance series, laying down a fairly solid foundation with Jagged Alliance: Rage!
Jagged Alliance Rage! isn’t the threequel we’ve been patiently waiting for. Instead, this is a spin off the does things a little bit differently, some of which lands and some of which doesn’t, especially on consoles. The humour and light heartedness does carry much of this game because without it, you could be playing any number of grid bound, turn based games. It’s this attitude though that makes it assuredly a Jagged Alliance game worthy of the name that’ll carry you through till 3 finally sees the light of day.
PSN Price: $29.99
Jagged Alliance: Rage! has a bunch of interesting ideas, but it's flawed by many technical issues.

After a while, Jagged Alliance became repetitive.
The developers of Jagged Alliance: Rage! likely hoped it would rejuvenate the franchise and it might. It's a competent turn-based tactical shooter but suffers from repetitive missions and sluggish controls. Unless you're a huge fan of the genre you're unlikely to find the gameplay rewarding.
Jagged Alliance: Rage! has great tactical gameplay, and enough interesting ideas, however its various elements struggle to line up to make a constantly captivating experience
Jagged Alliance: Rage is yet another release that uses the Jagged Alliance name but fails to deliver. The turn-based gameplay and the survival elements are good enough, but in other areas there are tons of shortcomings that not only disappoints the old fans of the series but also fails to ward off competition from other turn-based titles available on the market.

It sits in a sweet spot for the genre which is just challenging enough for the hardcore to while away an afternoon on, but accessible enough for casual players to enjoy too. At £23.99 on release, it may be a little on the pricey side for what it offers, but it’s definitely one to consider, especially if you find it on sale.
I honestly feel this game along with any other strategy turn-based games should be left on computers and mobile phones because it is easier to work with. This game is designed to have a mouse and keyboard; with just a controller it felt as if I was being held down, like being forced to put on a seatbelt at the dinner table. Overall a decent game but not my style of genre games.
Very controversial spin-off set 20 years after the first Jagged Alliance has some good points and cooperation, but it looks like mobile game with some flaws.

If it can receive modding support anywhere near the level of the original Jagged Alliance games, Rage should have a promising future ahead of it. Right now though for its full retail price? I’m going to say give it a pass.
Jagged Alliance: Rage! delivers a fairly middling strategy experience where many of its better ideas and gameplay mechanics are hampered by poor AI and numerous design decisions that bring the game’s pace to a crawl.
Jagged Alliance: Rage! is a small-budget project, which clearly lacks unique features, polishing, depth and good plot. The gameplay is too monotonous and needs elements from the first games of the series. Hopefully, THQ Nordic will allocate more funds and find professional developers for a full-fledged Jagged Alliance continuation in the future.

So here Jagged Alliance Rage is, splashing around in the now dormant waters of that fountain of youth. It doesn't have scope to be the successor to JA2 that much of the Internet seems to want. It also lacks the execution and originality necessary to be the beginnings of a new generation of the long-running franchise. Any charm Rage! has is hidden under thick and ugly jungle, and undermined by its weak execution and a narrative that is at its best boring. Save yourself the rage, and look elsewhere.
Although there's fun to be had, Jagged Alliance: Rage has many small issues that bring the entire experience down.
