Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire - The Forgotten Sanctum Reviews
The Forgotten Sanctum is a DLC that meets both of its predecessors in the middle, and often feels like a bit of a hodge-podge, conflicted and unsettled about the approach it takes to reach the end-game. Fortunately, that same end-game leaves multiple, interesting questions open for the future of Pillars of Eternity, and speaks to Obsidian’s future ambitions for the series. It’s just a shame the road to get there is quite often disrupted and ever so slightly unsure of itself.
Third DLC offers adequate challenge, but there should be more maps

Amongst Deadfire's three DLCs, The Forgotten Sanctum is probably the best, as it understands the strengths of the core game much better, with a greater balance between battles, storytelling, and role-playing.
While it doesn't offer much in the way of closure, The Forgotten Sanctum is a satisfyingly eccentric expansion with Cronenbergian elements and an atmosphere vaguely reminiscent of Planescape: Torment.
Deadfire's last DLC pack is easily the strongest, though still a bit short.
A well-balanced and lovingly made final DLC.
