Dead or Alive 6 is probably the best chapter in the series thanks to its good gameplay mechanics, both polished and perfected for the newcomers.

DOA fans, I'm sure this one will be a winner in your eyes. And the same goes for fighting game fans.

From the somewhat confusing marketing campaign it was unclear which direction the new Dead or Alive wanted to take, but it is clear to me that the spirit of the series was not at all distorted, keeping alongside an extremely varied and profound gameplay even the style that made him famous.

It should have a perfect start, yet the lacking of online functions, the disjointed story mode, and the unlock methods of new costumes affected it.

Dead or Alive 6 improves on the franchise's core fighting system while retaining its tight action-packed gameplay.

Despite still struggling to tell a captivating story, Dead or Alive 6 is an improvement in nearly every area from its predecessor.

Dead or Alive 6 has complex, satisfying combat and enough variety to keep players of all skill levels happy.

A deep and accesible fighting game that will entertain lonely gamers for a while, but that actually has some flaws in terms of online game modes. The game will probably improve over time as DOA 5 did, but as it is right now it falls a bit short.

Impressive graphics and an innovative story mode make for faultless gameplay in the latest instalment of this series, but its hyper-sexualised characters feel out of touch

Dead or Alive 6 has a great fighting system and a bunch of small extras that enhance the experience. Is it better than Dead or Alive 5? That's harder to determine. As it stands this is an awesome fighting game, but the character roster feels a bit light and the story is predictably rubbish. At least the games I played in the Online Ranked mode were incredibly solid, which is sure to please fighting game fans.

Dead or Alive 6 is a very good fighting game, with a lot of game modes, but you must be aware that you'll have to pay more to make the game more complete with costumes and fighters.

Dead or Alive 6 is the most enjoyable and accessible title in the fighting series yet, though its story and online modes leave a bit to be desired.

Dead or Alive 6 is not a revolutionary entry for the series, but stands as one of the best entries of the series. Its gameplay mechanics and corrections implemented make it an enjoyable game and one with an awesome approach for beginners. Also the few new ideas added to the formula are well received and give it some freshness to this well known experience.

Dead or Alive 6, is hands down the best title in the series. Lots of content, various modes to get you in fighting form and I found the gameplay incredibly fun. It's almost the total package, with the exception of the online lobbies not being in yet. Still, if that doesn't matter to you, a great time will be found in a game that doesn't take its self too seriously.  Which is absolutely fine by me.

Dead or Alive 6 doesn't make any drastic deviations from the previous titles, but adds just enough new features to feel fresh and exciting.

Another solid entry in a stalwart arcade franchise, Dead or Alive 6 doesn't stray too far from what's worked in the past. Whether you're in for fast combos or buxom beauties, Team Ninja have your back.

Dead or Alive 6 isn't the Christ's-Second-Coming equivalent of fighting game sequels. This is mostly an upgraded version of Dead or Alive 5, and not exactly a heavily upgraded one. Having said that, even those few improvements manage to make this the best, and most visually appealing instalment so far - boobies, or no boobies.

Dead or Alive isn’t the most sophisticated fighting game series around, but I love it.

While not trying to bring major changes to the table, this is a solid entry in Team Ninja's long-running Dead or Alive franchise. If you can ignore the obvious push to sell cosmetics and the expensive season pass, this has some fun fighting mechanics carrying a lot of depth.
