Mortal Kombat 11 is possibly the best game in the series yet, thanks to its smooth fighting mechanics, and fun online and local modes. However, the awful microtransactions and the grind required to unlock items truly hampers the overall experience.

Mortal Kombat 11 is one of the most complete games available within the fighting genre. The story mode brings exactly what we expected from NetherRealm as well as several online and offline modes, suiting all players.

I think players who like fighting games will be satisfied with the game. Although you don't have much to do with fighting games, you can have fun with the story of Mortal Kombat 11.

Mortal Kombat 11 takes everything we love from the franchise and turns it up to 11 even with a disjointed story and very slow progression.

Though the Netherrealm Studios delivered with Mortal Kombat XI a polished title with a great production and a overall well made storymode, the excessive grind to unlock new costumes might scare off some players over time and the adaption of existing bugs from its predecessors crosses our lack of understanding, but fans of the series and friends of gory fighting games still get served well and extensive.

One of the best Mortal Kombats in the last few generations of video games, Mortal Kombat 11 features engaging and challenging gameplay, stunning visuals, detailed animations, and a memorable soundtrack. Combined with a very useful tutorial section, good netcode, a variety of online options, and a vast customization system, you have one of the best fighting games of this generation. I only wish developers had not locked a significant portion of customization content behind various game currencies and a need for constant internet connectivity, otherwise, this would have been a flawless game.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a great fighter, perhaps the best the series has been to date. It’s a visual spectacle filled with lots of ways to play for players of all skill levels, and features the most enjoyable fighting game story I’ve ever gone through. It also has some boring new characters, crippled further by the extensive customization suite, and a growing disconnect between the regular fighting and the fatalities. Small issues, but issues all the same. Still, you’ll probably be having too much fun to care.

Mortal Kombat 11 is a good game ruined by odd decisions. NetherRealm and Warner Bros have pushed consumers into one little corner. Basically "purchase our in-game currency or suffer and grind for hours". That is not fair; it's not fair to the fanbase, the consumers and the franchise. Mortal Kombat deserves better.

Mortal Kombat 11's fighting, story, graphics and mechanics should have the game piercing the stratosphere, but the persistent online direction the progression systems have taken feels like something belonging to a free-to-play game.

Mortal Kombat 11 is an incredible fighting game and one that is well worth playing. The character roster is varied with a few new faces, stages are the best they have ever been, the music and atmosphere is great, and the story mode further expands on the universe we all love. The game is only hampered by the unlock requirements and the grind many players will find themselves in.

NetherRealm bolsters their penchant for delivering the most accessible and effort-filled fighting games around, even if Mortal Kombat 11 does feel a little overstuffed with Things To Do.

Mortal Kombat 11 is the richest and most complete game of the series. Despite that, it leaves players with a bittersweet taste with its needless grinding and microtransactions.

Mortal Kombat 11 is one of the best fighting games released in a long time. A superb bombastic story, awesomely refined fighting mechanics and stunning production values. It also features far too many unrewarding and unfulfilling grindy mechanics tied to the game's Towers of Time and Krypt modes. If developer NRS resolve those issues, the game is a must buy. Until that point though, buyer beware.

In short, a spectacular game, a chulísimo story mode, the most gore delivery of the saga, some of the most impressive fatallities of the franchise, varied template, single player modes, lots of content, seriously I say, get with this game.

Mortal Kombat 11 isn’t perfect, but it’s close enough for me to easily recommend it to anyone who wants to have a bloody good time with friends or on their own. I hope the progression system gets some major work done, but the story is great and the kombat itself has never been better.
