Since we took our first steps in Avalanche Studios' vision of doom, we have found it difficult to put control aside. The combination of open world, mutant freaks and superpowers is far too entertaining, actually well above our expectations. Sure, some routes get reasonably tragic sometimes, but what does it do when the world is otherwise as complete as it is? Along with the eminent control and dynamic battles, it makes Rage 2 one of the most addictive titles of the year so far.

If Doom and Mad Max had been lying in the same bed, the result would have been called RAGE 2.

The best FPS of the year, but not the best open-world game

Open world games are a delicacy today, so much so that developers go far beyond what fans ask and end up delivering great titles that should not go unnoticed by any player.

It is the kind of game I shut my brain off and just go into a zone and lay waste to all enemies in front of me. The combat feels great, the powers are incredibly fun, and so much of the game just made me feel like a total badass. I can finally forgive the end of the first game, Rage 2 is simply put, a blast.

While it's a bit slow to start, frontloaded with tutorials and exposition, and generally muddled at the outset, Rage 2 shapes up into an incredibly fun time and a natural evolution of a franchise I was worried Id had written off as a dead end.

Rage 2 is an excellent shooter, and not much else. Want a complex story? Wrong address. Looking for an original, authentic world to explore – nope, not here. But if you want to shoot, shoot, and then shoot some more, be invincible and also crazy, then hop in – you're in for a ride!

Rage 2 is one of the most exciting, entertaining and craziest games that i played in this generation. It's an amazing mixture of Rage, Doom and Mad Max with so many skills, guns, upgrades, vehicle combat, costumization and of course "Adrenaline." If you are looking for a deep story and memorable characters, it's not your game, but if you want one of the most engaging and deep gameplay and gunplay of this generation, Rage 2 is exactly one of the best choices that you should not miss at all.

‎RAGE 2 has the ability to overpay its flaws with a ‎‎heart attack action‎‎ and tremendously well executed‎.

Despite the story and method of progression being a bit naff, RAGE 2 is one of the most satisfying FPS games I’ve played in a long time. With its multitude of skill trees, funded by both cash and secondary pick-ups, there’s a lot to try and unlock which will enhance your experience as you mercilessly cut off the heads and spill the guts of your foes. The vehicles are heavy and control perfectly, with the exception of the one which would have made my life so much easier, and the combination of weapons and abilities keeps the action diverse and interesting from beginning to end. My main complaint about RAGE 2 is that it’s a little too big for its own good. A more compressed map and fewer skill trees may have made it a more refined experience, but at least there’s plenty to do and see in this post-apocalyptic world. I can’t wait for the DLC expansions to arrive for the game as It’ll give me a reason to play on, post-completing the game, and gear myself up for the upcoming content. RAGE 2 isn’t a narrative-focused adventure, it’s a superb shooter encased within a beautiful world which is held together by a loose narrative.

Rage 2 is a buy simply because of where it shines; fun, destructive, gripping, and exciting balls-to-the-wall gameplay.

Mind-blowing weapons, funny mechanics, frantic shoot-outs, dozens of hours of content and a unique visual identity make Rage 2 the funniest and most recommendable shooter of this generation.

We may never get a sequel to Mad Max, but with Rage 2, we don't need it. It may not be perfect, but Rage 2 is a whole lot of fun, and I expect we'll be seeing more in this series for years to come. Or so I hope.

‎RAGE 2 will be for you if you are an action lover, if you like collectibles, if you are passionate about the post-apocalyptic setting and specifically the Mad Max aspect. But don't look deep into it. It's not a Fallout, let alone a Red Dead Redemption, but even with the most critical part we can do to it, I assure you it's a good game.‎

Rage 2's moment-to-moment combat is outstanding, making it shine among open-world first-person shooters.

In Rage 2, you move fast and kill faster. It's the synthesis between id Software's 2016 reboot of Doom and Avalanche Studios' Mad Max, bringing together some of the best ideas from both. Moment-to-moment play on foot is fantastic with each weapon and ability just opening up your options for destruction. Driving could be improved and it's a little on the shorter side, but Rage 2 is a damned good time.

I was pleasantly surprised with the shooter chimera that is Rage 2, which ended up being open world mini-Doom 2016. It's not going to make anyone a believer in shooters or the free roam format, but folks already predisposed to those vices will find plenty to sink their teeth into.

There simultaneously needed to be a lot more of Rage 2 and lot less; a lot more depth in its driving, story, and missions and a lot less repeated content and long stretches of empty landscape
