Double Cross on the Nintendo Switch is a game that tries to check too many boxes. It gets the job done on some instances, namely when it proposes an action and platforming experience, but it ends up becoming too dull and lacklustre when it comes to its combat and detective components. While some gameplay mechanics are well implemented, others turn out to be too stale and performance issues don't help to the overall experience.

Excellent platforming action elevates Double Cross, but weak combat and a half-baked mystery-solving element keep it from reaching great heights.
