Animal Crossing: New Horizons Reviews
If you are looking for a chill, happy game to play during your stay-at-home time during the COVID-19 global crisis, this is the perfect choice.
With an established franchise that has had its fair share of mixed emotions in prior entries, it’s wonderful to see it reach new heights, and garner a wider appeal amongst gamers. Animal Crossing New Horizons is no doubt, an essential staple to the growing Nintendo Switch library, and will be marked as such a memorable social tool in a time that humanity, truly needed it.
My seven days on Ciroxland Island proved to be a relaxing and excellent experience to alternate my forays into the Palace of Persona 5: Royal and the ruthless demons on Doom Eternal. In short, Animal Crossing is a bit like when you come home from work and, exhausted, you throw yourself on the couch not to think about anything, completely turning off your brain. Speaking of home: the possibility to virtually visit our friends' islands and interact with them is a great way to exorcise the current isolation due to the epidemic emergency. That sounds ephemeral, but I guarantee it has helped a lot. Objectively speaking, it is an excellent product in every respect that inherits and expands all aspects of the saga that began back in 2001. I recommend it to everyone, both enthusiasts and newbies.

New Horizons is a great continuation of an already fantastic series of games, and paying back Tom Nook’s loan has never been so fun.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons was probably up with Pokemon in terms of the 2019 games I was most excited about, then Nintendo broke my heart by delaying it until 2020. Well… it’s here now and I’ve obviously purchased it and given it a solid play over the last few days, certainly enough to formulate some opinions. I’ve played every iteration released since the Gamecube and there are some obvious similarities and quite a few new features.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is not for everyone. Its snail-pace progression may turn you off and its tedious mechanics can be an issue to get through at times. However, it acts as an escape from the world for a few hours where you can build your dream island, run around in the rain in your undies and catch a whale shark with a flimsy fishing rod. There’s a lot to love about the game but there’s also a lot to hate. One thing is for sure, Animal Crossing: New Horizons is like adopting a pet, you will be stuck with it for months and years ahead as you nurture it and love it every single day.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a beautifully relaxing title – exactly as it should be. With so much to offer in the coming months, such as seasonal events and new NPC characters we have yet to encounter, it’s a rewarding game that takes pride in its little moments of heart-warming joy. If you’re an Animal Crossing fan, you don’t want to miss this.
Animal Crossing: New Horizon is a breakthrough for the series that has made the franchise every more accessible than before.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is a different experience than all of them. Creators focus on collecting, completing goals and exploring worlds. A good stepping back from all those horrific headlines that we have been feeded on in recent days.

With New Horizons, once again not only we have a great next step in the Animal Crossing Franchise, but also one of the most polished and visually appealing games of this genre. A great daily activity to make your own ideal life in a soon-to-be populated island

This island is full of adventures. You can spend a lot of time here. Becouse there is so much fun... well and it is slow.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons is yet another title that you can clearly see Nintendo's mark on it. It aims only to entertain, and it succeeds. If you are looking to distant yourself from all the violence and adrenaline that most games on the market are offering right now, then this is a perfect match for you.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons offers players a plethora of things to do at a very measured pace. The slow build does well to lull players into a cadence and get them used to some of the basics before going full bore — while still managing to be a relaxing jaunt. Solo play is near-perfect with the new additions that make this feel different from previous outings, while multiplayer is a treat even if some of the methods can feel slightly archaic. Ultimately, this is the kind of long-term game you want to get addicted to because it has a wealth of things to discover and do.
We all need games like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, and while I don't think it's perfect by any means, and some of the new elements this time around come at the expense of what made previous titles so wonderful, the winning charm is still there in full.
It cannot fix what’s going on in the world right now, but Animal Crossing: New Horizons gives us the joyful, meditative escape that so many of us desperately need right now. Whether you’re young or old, you’ll find something to like.
Animal Crossing New Horizons is the must have game of the year for the Nintendo Switch!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is easily the most personal and customizable game in the franchise.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the culmination of the series' formula, the zenith of everything Animal Crossing is about, and one of the best games Nintendo have produced in years.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons provides a level of freedom unheard of in most titles, leaving players the opportunity to do whatever they want in any given day, and despite a few bumps they succeed spectacularly in letting you create your own experience.
