WarParty is a solid real-time strategy game in a market that’s dearly lacking them. Yet at the same time, I feel like I’ve played it before in years gone by, several times in fact. It does have a few things that make it stand out, the Dinosaur theme for one. It also has a lot of content between survival, the campaign, skirmish and multiplayer.
After a tutorial running you through the conceptual basics with the base Wildlander faction, sometimes not always making itself very clear as it is, you’re roughly left to figure much of the rest of the game’s nuances out through brute force trial and error in the single-player campaigns...
Just like its dinosaurs have a hard time setting themselves apart from other units, Warparty also fails to stand out among its peers.
Despite not feeling very unique, mechanically, Warparty nevertheless delivers a great experience with a large amount of content, awesome visual style, and a setting unlike any other RTS.
Warparty attempts to honor the glory days of the classic RTS, but various technical and design issues make it a lackluster game.
Warparty offers the right compromise between the immediacy of the first RTS games and the depth of the last representatives of the genre, putting every element in the right place and carrying out its task in an excellent way.

Overall, this is a pretty good step into the RTS realm.
With plenty of modes, options, and three mildly customizable factions, Warparty offers RTS fans a lot of content to chew on. Much effort was obviously spent building this unique world and its intricate mechanics. While the lack of multiplayer is disappointing, Warparty will keep fans busy with its blistering difficulty and fast-paced strategy action.
Warparty may be a decent game for simple multiplayer matches, but its lack of creativity and rough mechanics keep it feeling older than the timeframe it's based upon.
Warparty is quite a good strategy game for console, a mix between Starcraft and Jurassic World. Nice looks, good controls configuraion and distinguishable factions are what makes me recommend this game. It may be not as robust as Halo Wars or Sudden Strike 4, but it's as enjoyable!

Warparty provides just enough fun for me to overlook some of its flaws to stay and play.
Splicing dino DNA with a very old school style of RTS, Warparty has plenty going for it conceptually, but it comes up short. Even if the gamepad controls weren't an obstacle to your success, the three races aren't balanced and it's all too easy to fall back on massed army tactics. A refreshing setting is not enough to drag this tired old school RTS out of the past.
That’s not to say Warparty isn’t a competent, even downright blast to play more often than not, but it won’t soon be overtaking the leaders of the genre.
Warparty offers a likable and quirky setting for an RTS featuring dinosaurs and zombies but ends up being formulaic and repetitive, with broken AI.
War Party might be the best designed and most polished indie RTS to come out in a long time. Its design is clean and overall it works well.
Decent Age of Empire clone offers nothing new in RTS genre, but gameplay is good and dinosaurs are welcomed addition.

Warparty still lives in the 90's, the so-called "golden era of real time strategy games", whilst ignoring the huge advances the genre made in the last 20 years. It should feel like a nice nostalgia trip, but it turns to be a game stuck in time, with little to show other than cool looking dinosaurs.

Admirable as the attempt might be, though, the game is so unrelentingly unpleasant to play, and so limited in scope, that I think I'll be sticking to the plethora of superb turn-based strategy titles that are also available on the console.
While Warparty is a visually stunning attempt at bringing real-time strategy to the Nintendo Switch, it's lacking in understandable controls and small maps that make the overall experience feel restrictive and monotonous.
