The fighting and visuals of the Rangers (and Goldar) are decent, but the modes, unlockables, and incentives to keep playing are limited

The near perfect mechanics of Battle for the Grid aren't enough to make this a game worth playing. You'll have a few fun nights with your buddies partaking in some ranger on ranger violence, but you'll quickly find yourself returning to other mainstream fighting games.

While not the most polished fighting game available, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid's gameplay and presentation makes it shine like a diamond in the rough, making it appropriate only for diehard Power Rangers fans and hardcore fighting game fans.

I found Battle for the Grid‘s gameplay to be a blast when playing locally with a friend. The easy inputs help new players get into the action quickly without having to overcome a huge learning curve. Power Rangers fans will love this game if they have someone they can consistently play with. The gameplay is smooth and the action is fine-tuned to allow for fast-paced combos. Sadly, everything else about this game makes it painfully clear that this was a budget title. Battle for the Grid is fun because of nWay’s devotion to creating an approachable fighting game with nods to its many predecessors. Other than that, I would not recommend Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid, especially if you’re looking for a game with a good amount of content and decent netcode. Overall, nWay still has a long way to go to morph this game into a mighty one. Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a fun and competent fighter that definitely has room to grow.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid has some near-perfect online play and tag-team mechanics, but is held back by some disappointing story modes and an egregious lack of content. Dedicated Power Rangers fans and fighting game enthusiasts will find a lot to love, but for everyone else, wait until the free update for more characters and content in the future.

Surprisingly deep and fun to play, Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid lacks contents to remain engaging in the long term.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is a perfect fighting game. For button-masher that is. The pro won't find here anything that will keep them in the game for more than a few fights. Unless they love Power Rangers. But even though they might... Why bother?

Under all of Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid's poor graphics, anemic content, and bugs is the beating heart of a mechanically sound 2D fighter.

This game still has ways to go before it can properly say that it’s a complete game. Though the foundation is there. Ultimately, it’s up to the game’s community to continue supporting it. And the developers to further improve upon it.

A fun budget fighter that has its core mechanics in the right place but is currently missing a lot of content, Battle for the Grid is a good fighting game with the potential to become great.

Power Ranges: Battle for the Grid while being technical strong and smooth to play seems to limp to the K.O in each round with the lack of content. I really do hope that down the line more free content such as fighters and arenas are added to the game to beef it out.

At [its low price point], there is some leeway to be given to Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid. It’s extremely fair for what is ultimately a fun, Marvel vs. Capcom-lite clone. There is also future support ensured with more characters and skins.

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid isn’t going to reinvent the wheel but it will let you remember days gone while enjoying a solid fighter. Or it will make you really wish that Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon would pay attention to my suggestion about a TV show…

Power Rangers: Battle for the Grid is today a competent fighting game, and the best game based on the Saban franchise. With the addition of the story mode, the free characters, and the three paid seasons that add more fighters and content, we can already begin to consider the work of nWay as a fighting game to consider - even for those who do not have no interest in the franchise - and for fans, the inclusion of some of the voices of the original actors offers a much more complete and engaging product.

Flaws aside, this is the best Power Rangers game so far and I can only hope that nWay continues to create and iterate within this franchise. Battle for the Grid is a stellar game for Power Rangers fans and it was clearly made by people with equal love for these heroes.
