Judgment presented a beautiful mixture between investigating cases and a fun fighting style in the world of Yakuza, despite the varying level of cases, but it has a beautiful story and offers a distinctive experience, especially with the improved version, which only increased it beauty, the design of the city and regions in the game is one of the best Stuff we've seen from the studio before in the Yakuza series and it's no different than that in Judgment. If you are a fan of the series or investigation games, I recommend you try the game and have a good time.

The perfect detective title with the Yakuza twist

A solid spin-off that capitalizes on the studio's strengths, but ultimately relies on its formula too much. Add in half-baked detective mechanics and Judgment doesn't realize its concept's potential.

The original game which was released on PS4 has received some visual and performance upgrades on the latest generation console. The game is known for its artistic structure along with the writing and interactions which is highly renowned as the key element of the game. Also so great that they’d cover up some minor hiccups if there were any. While the story plot is somewhat spectacular in scale, players don’t need to study up on any background history or other articles to understand and enjoy the game to its fullest. So if you haven’t played this game already, there’s no excuse to give it a try. Since there aren’t any added contents in this new version, if you’ve already played the PS4 variant, there won’t be much of a difference in gameplay. But all in all it’s a great value for a PS5 game so there’s plenty of replay value on its upgraded platform.

Judgement is a fantastic Yakuza game, but the spinoff's other elements can feel half baked. Brawling and investigating can both be fun, but it's clear there's depth missing from both aspects. The PS5 version is a blanket upgrade, with improved lighting, textures, and load times, but could have used a bit more care to preserve the artistic choices of the original.

The PS5 version of Judgment is a pricey endeavor for those who already own the PS4 version. That said, it has a lot to offer to Yakuza fans who have yet to experience Yagami’s story.

Considering all the improvements that have been made in Judgment Remastered, this version is a worthy title that Yakuza fans should definitely experience. It should be noted that users who have no experience of this series should also start their adventure with the remastered version without wasting time. Although there is no free upgrade, it can be ignored because of the reasonable price of the ninth generation version of game.

Ultimately, however, Judgment on PS5 is the best version of a great game, with no hiccups in the transition to current-gen consoles and a few exceptional benefits for players to enjoy. Judgment remains, like a crucial discovery in Yagami's case, strong evidence that Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio knows its way around compelling crime narratives in a way few other developers can aspire towards. Like its setting, it's not perfect in any sense, but also like Kamurocho, the flaws are another reason to get drawn in, and Judgment on PS5 is a must-play for anyone who enjoys a good detective story.

Judgment on the new generation of consoles might not be a must-play for anyone who already enjoyed it on the PS4, but it's absolutely the best way to play the game and still represents a fantastic jumping off point for anyone keen to dip their toes into the Yakuza franchise. Playing as Yagami feels better than ever at 60FPS, and Kamurocho and its many faces come alive with improved detail and a fantastic new lighting treatment. There's no argument here: Judgment is a winner, case closed.

As mentioned, this remaster is geared for newcomers and so it's the best way to experience the game, even if it isn't a must-play for those who already experienced it on last-gen. Luckily, those who are returning to Judgment Remastered may also have reason to hold out hope for something brand new. Sega has deemed May 7 as Judgment Day, with many thinking this will be a sequel announcement. That ultimately remains to be seen, but if there's one thing this remaster proves, it's that Judgment is worthy of its own franchise.

Pertaining a semblance to its Yakuza roots while its disparities demonstrated a distinguished difference was appreciated, and I hope to see more Judgement, with the potential of an impending announcement soon to come. Judgment on PlayStation 5 and XBOX Series X, is truly an essential for thrill seekers and third-person exploration conessuirs.

Judgment was a great Yakuza spin-off title two years ago and that remains true in 2021 with the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series release. While the detective gameplay isn’t as good as it could be it doesn’t detract too much from an otherwise great game. RGG Studio delivers another memorable story full of fun and interesting characters as well as a really detailed world full of fun activities to partake in. It also looks and runs much better than it did before making this the definitive version to play. Whether you’re a fan of the Yakuza franchise or jumping into this world for the very first time, Judgment shouldn’t be missed.

‎Ryu ga Gotoku Studio has done a great job of bringing this great work to the next generation consoles, where we can highlight the renewal of the vast majority of textures for a higher resolution and the 60 frames per second immovable. A great adaptation of each of its missions and main plot, although the first bars can be done to us something uphill. The final edition of Judgment gives us a hundred playable hours thanks to all the content of its base game and its subsequent DLC.‎

If you've never played Judgment before, what are you waiting for? The remaster is one of the best next-gen exclusives to play right now and has never looked better. If you've already played it, it may be hard to justify the price tag at this point, but the substantial upgrades ensure it's the best the game has ever been. There's nothing in the way of new content outside of all previously released DLC, but Yagami's adventure is just as compelling and original as it once was.

All in all, Judgment is still one of the better titles in the Yakuza franchise. The biggest flaw it had and continues to have is that it feels a bit too familiar and a bit too safe, but it's a lot easier to accept that in the wake of Yakuza: Like A Dragon. The plot is interesting, the characters are fun, the gameplay is charming, and overall, it's just a darn good game. If you're looking for another entry in the Yakuza franchise, then Judgment is the way to go. Now we just have to wait for news about the upcoming sequel....

Judgment is shinier, prettier, and more powerful on next-gen. Ryu Ga Gotoku has done a fantastic job of improving the game's biggest plus point, the combat, as well as sharpening up the textures and resolution.

If you never got the chance to play this underappreciated gem, it’s well worth checking it out on new-gen consoles. Prior knowledge of the Yakuza series is not needed, as the game stands on its own narratively. The game’s core mystery is enthralling to unravel, and there’s almost too much else going on around the city to enjoy while you derail the plot. Crack out your case book, crack your knuckles and get going.

Judgment is a successful spinoff from the Yakuza series that simply demands a follow-up. If Yakuza: Like a Dragon is pulling the main series towards turn-based combat, then Judgment would be an excellent place to continue exploring its real-time brawler roots. If you’re looking for a next-gen title that will deliver much more than just pretty visuals, it’s well worth a purchase on the PS5! If, however, you already own the title on the PS4, your money is likely better spent on other games (You HAVE played Yakuza: Like a Dragon, right?)

With its much-welcomed next-gen improvements in framerate, resolution, and load times plus the inclusion of all previously released DLC, the next-gen remaster of Judgment is hands-down the definitive version to own.
