Catherine: Full Body is to an extent both an expanded and a remake to the 2011 game Catherine. Developed by Atlus, Catherine is a tale of one man and his incredibly complicated love life. It’s a bizarre game filled with Demons, Sheep and a love triangle. While Catherine is a fine game and doesn’t necessarily need a reboot or remake, Catherine: Full Body takes everything from the main game and improves on it in every way.

Catherine: Full Body completes its original version, and it does it with many new features, both playable and storylines, with a third girl in disagreement, Rin, who will make Vincent's love life more complicated if possible. A good mix of puzzles, platforms and a visual novel that, in addition to giving off originality, deals with adult subjects in which many of us will be reflected.

The Nintendo Switch is really becoming the console of choice for visual novels/Adult-themed narratives and Catherine: Full Body is definitely one of the most engaging and enjoyable I’ve played on the console. Vincent’s journey questions the morality of relationships in a very interesting and often humorous manner, while the game also offers some of the best written and entertaining cast of characters in the medium. While the visual novel aspect of the game was perfectly handled, the block puzzle stages might not appeal to all. These did very much grow on me over time as I found myself becoming a traversal wizard, offering unique gameplay like no other on the market.

Catherine Full Body throws you into the most puzzling affair you could ever imagine. This action-adventure puzzle games about the ups and downs of relationships captivate from start to finish thanks to its creative story and its difficult yet fun puzzles. The only downside is that the camera and the controls are a bit slippery in this Switch version.

Catherine: Full Body is about the two extremes of adult life: commitment or freedom. The story may seem to have some holes or badly developed characters, but this is not a flaw, because the intention of the game is to become a metaphor using precisely this context of indecision and questioning that the protagonist lives. With beautiful visuals and renewed gameplay, the remastering can please both those who have tried the original title and those who will play it for the first time.

GREAT - Another amazing Switch port arrives in Catherine: Full Body, a must-play for fans of dark romantic thrillers. Just don’t take relationship advice from Vincent, all right?

You'll love it and hate it almost in the same thought. That’s not necessarily a terrible thing though — it’s an extremely unique experience that you owe it to yourself to at least try if you haven’t already.

Overall, Catherine: Full Body is a great remake of a dark and very adult story that was rather refreshing to go through. With tons of choices to do, or not do, and plenty of moments that can make you cringe and really wonder if that was the right thing to do, there are so many different outcomes available that makes this eight to twelve hour adventure worth going back again and again before even getting into the gameplay challenges and online leaderboards.

Despite all the advantages, puzzles with cubes, even at a minimum difficulty settings may not appeal to everyone, and the story still lacks scope and important details in places. Anyway Catherine: Full Body for Nintendo Switch is a great port of an unusual game, which is especially nice to spend time in portable mode. Charismatic characters, hot situations, interesting arguments about adult life, a powerful atmosphere and all sorts of allegories should appeal to fans of story adventures.

Catherine Full Body is the almost perfect game. It has a outstanding argument thanks to the new girl, Qatherine, besides an extended gameplay across different modes like Colisseum and Normal Remix. It’s the final blow need this game.

While some of the writing feels outdated and downright problematic, 'Catherine: Full Body' feels right at home on the system as one of the best ports to hit Nintendo Switch in a long time.

If you’ve only played the original release and have yet to experience this full-bodied edition, there’s definitely enough here to justify the purchase – especially if you’re looking to play it on the go.
