Remnant: From the Ashes Reviews
The longevity of the gameplay in Remnant: From the Ashes might be a bit grind-y for a mainstream audience. If you can accept that grind, then you have a good story waiting for you with a beautifully woven tapestry led by leveling and a competent upgrade system, which helps keep the gamer motivated to continue. Is it a perfect game? No, but it's a damn good one, especially with friends.
Remnant: From the Ashes turned out to be a welcome surprise: the combination of soulslike and third-person shooter proved to work in (almost) flawless fashion, despite a sometimes excessive difficulty.

Remnant from the ashes is a unique co-op experience that has successfully mixed various entertaining elements from different genres. Most notably, the game is extremely Inspired by soulsborne. So combat is very difficult and challenging and you need to be aware about some elements like stamina bar. Levels design are impressive and different type of melee weapons and firearms prevent gameplay from getting repetitive. Still some technical issues and bugs Are annoying. Most importantly, the game becomes unreasonably Difficult at some moments and boss fights, specially in solo mode. Nevertheless, Remnant From the ashes is undoubtedly one of the best Co-op games of 2019 so far.

Remnant: From the Ashes is a tough-as-nails cooperative shooter that brings together the best elements of games like Dark Souls and Left 4 Dead.
Remnant has somehow distilled key aspects of popular games and brewed something that stands on its own merit
In one sense, Gunfire Games have seemingly achieved the impossible in providing us with a shooter-focused RPG whose gameplay loop is validated by its plentiful, challenging encounters.
Although it is clearly inspired by the work of FromSoftware, the game has managed to go beyond giving its own imprint, providing the closest experience to Dark Souls with firearms that one could wish for.

A few absurd difficulty spikes, repetitive boss encounters, bonkers match-up placement, and the absence of in-game communication do hinder the experience, but not so much as to write off the game entirely.
While certainly playable as a solo experience, Remnant: From the Ashes truly shines as a cooperative multiplayer experience! Fans of Left 4 Dead, Monster Hunter, Destiny, and other cooperative driven games should definitely pick this up!
Remnant: From the Ashes is on the verge of what could be a great game. The gameplay has a very good foundation but the repetition of scenarios and lack of rewards will quickly alienate the player. It lacks a lot of content in the form of enemies, scenarios, maps and rewards. Hopefully they will add to them little by little. But it's fun, and that's what really counts.

Remnant is overall a fantastic action RPG and great souls-like sibling. The enemy variety, stellar combat, and procedural aspect skyrocket its replay value and the meaningful loot is exciting in this gaming climate. It's challenging even on normal, but far less brutal than Dark Souls, but you can kick up the heat on a harder setting. If you enjoy games like Dark Souls or action RPGs this is an instant buy, especially if you have friends to play with.
Remnant: From the Ashes is immediately familiar and infinitely enjoyable. Gunfire Games has created something really special.
Remnant: From the Ashes is best categorized as an enjoyable diamond in the rough.
My time with Remnant was a total roller-coaster. There were moments of pure, unfiltered rage, peaks of elation, ah-ha moments, and quiet zen grinds. For the most part though, it’s just a steady climb.
All in all, Remnant is an excellent game and definitely hits on both of our "MUST BUY" lists. Other than a bit of input lag on commands there really isn't anything we can complain about, which is pretty damned rare for the both of us, since the years have made us both bitter and picky when it comes to games. If you have the money, and you have access to a platform that will support it, you should be playing it. NOW.
Remnant: From the Ashes is a surprisingly good combination of Gears of War-like third-person shooting with Souls-like difficulty.
From the Ashes is a brilliant game that takes what is good about Soulsborne and combines it with a satisfying co-op shooter.
