Lost Orbit: Terminal Velocity is a competent action-scroller that often reaches stellar status. It's a cool little indie with some neat ideas, and definitely worth taking for a spin at $10.

Lost Orbit: Terminal Velocity is a decent game. The gameplay can get slowed down by the story at times, but when upgrading abilities and hitting that Zen moment while speeding through a level, it feels pretty great. Even if it is just a short time with the game, it’s still a pretty fun time. I would suggest picking it up if you are a fan of the trial and error style games like Velocity, Trials, and others where you don’t mind trying to perfect your time.

LOST ORBIT: Terminal is a challenging game based on exploration and with incentives for the players to improve their skills. With its well-humoured plot and emphasis on high scores, LOST ORBIT: Terminal could benefit from having shorter loading times but there is no doubt that this is a game that will appeal to players who enjoy seeking higher scores.

WORTH CONSIDERING - Lost Orbit: Terminal Velocity is a clever narrative journey of a space repairman stuck in a predicament and he just wants to find his way home. Gameplay feels familiar to other genres, while finding its own unique mechanics to create a pretty enjoyable experience. It’s not a particularly deep game, but the voiced story is what keeps players engaged more so than the core gameplay.

Although Lost Orbit: Terminal Velocity is merely an update of a 4 year old game, it's still one unique, challenging, and highly enjoyable narrative space adventure.

Lost Orbit: Terminal Velocity, a rework, and expansion of the original Lost Orbit game, is a short, but fun journey through space.  The visuals and musical score are delightful, even if the voice acting and writing are hit-or-miss.  Story heavy and content-lite, the game is a worth a try for those looking for a skill-based, sci-fi action-adventure, reminiscent of higher-end mobile games.  Although not likely to be a long-remembered classic, Lost Orbit: Terminal Velocity is worth the time spent playing it.

Despite a plethora of decently challenging and fast-paced levels, Lost Orbit: Terminal Velocity's lack of level and gameplay variety stop it from being the next arcade classic.

If you can imagine Asteroids meets Frogger in Space, you have a fairly good idea of what to expect from LOST ORBIT: Terminal Velocity. The game play is entertaining and the difficulty levels ramp up at a reasonable slope. The storyline doesn't bring much to the table, but the game mechanics stand on their own just fine.

Lost Orbit takes a simple premise and builds it into something that is more than the sum of its parts. Load times aside, it is a fantastic portable experience on Switch. Solid, ever-evolving gameplay and great presentation make this an easy pick up for anyone who likes high score games.
