Etherborn is a creative and occasionally maddening puzzler that will test your brainpower. However, there's not a ton of content here, and the backing narration often comes across as pretentious nonsense.

But these are overshadowed by the thin layer of frustration caused by the loose controls and overly restrictive camera. There is potential here and if you enjoy more artful puzzle games like the ones this game has been heavily compared to, it's at least worth a look. Just be ready for a few hangups along the way that might take you out of the experience.

Nice excursion with great level design and puzzle elements. Just too short.

Etherborn is not only a solid, content-rich video game, but also a work of art. Etherborn once again proves that innovation is the main key to success in this industry, and there is no limit, even for indie developers with small budgets, if their ideas are genuine enough.

Etherborn stumbles at times in its execution and gets lost in an unnecessary narrative, but there's no denying the puzzle design is brilliant.

With nice visuals and creative challenges, Etherborn is a fun platformer that, despite not delivering its narrative message as well as it could, still deserves the attention of the fans of the genre.

It has a nice visual style, feels satisfying to solve puzzles, music is nice to ears. But camera angles make puzzles artificially difficult and game itself doesn't last long.

There’s still fun to be had in solving Etherborn‘s puzzles, but given how insanely short the game is, I’d probably recommend giving it a pass until you can find it on sale.

Etherborn has all the good ideas for a clever puzzle game. Then it ends after only four levels, never exploring its mechanics in a way that makes them stand out.

Etherborn is a good puzzle game that plays with the four dimensions, but the story is pointless and sometimes it's hard to read the levels.

Etherborn is a short and sweet platform-like puzzler game. It features surreal, artistic graphics, beautiful music, "ethereal" controls and is in itself quite unique. The downside is the game can be completed in three to five hours

Etherborn is beautifully constructed yet flawed in its execution, but you shouldn't miss out on this short foray into a topsy-turvy puzzle world built with dream-logic.

Etherborn looks fantastic, sounds incredible and revolves around a brilliant game mechanic that initially feels like it's going to lead to some clever puzzles but ramps things up far too quickly and engulfs you with frustratingly complex stages while you're still trying to find your feet. There's still a great game in there, but you'll need to have the patience of a saint to stumble up its 90-degree difficulty curve to find it.

Etherborn is a short but mostly sweet puzzler that challenges players to defy gravity in order to traverse its M.C. Escher-esque world.

I enjoyed my time playing Etherborn, but I also didn’t feel anything special while doing so. If you’re really in the mood for a puzzle game, then Etherborn may be worth checking out, but outside of that, you won’t be worse off for skipping it.
