The challenging gameplay, gorgeous sound design, and stunning aesthetics all make Etherborn a worthwhile experience, even for those not fond of puzzle-platformers. Every level demonstrates a craftsmanship that encourages the curiosity to think and engage with the world. Completing puzzles is satisfying, even if the length of the game is not. Some minor issues may crop up along the way, but Etherborn is still a clever, fun game that challenges players and their perspective of the world.

Etherborn defies gravity in a very elegant way and in-turn becomes relaxing especially when being accompanied by a pleasant score is placed into the mix. The story feels like one version of plenty that's been done before, pertaining to creation, but it's not necessarily bad. It's just not that engaging. The way Etherborn makes each environment one large puzzle to solve by walking on each of its so-called sides and call for your wits is done nicely. Etherborn is an artistic, environmental puzzle-solving showcase that has class and Altered Matter has expressed their creative talent.

Etherborn is now available, and it offers up some unique twists on the platforming, exploration, and puzzle video game genres. This is thanks to its brilliantly designed, and challenging levels, which are the puzzles themselves due to how gravity affects the player at each an every turn.

Etherborn is a great and unique puzzle-platformer with some smart level design and gorgeous views, thanks to its colourful, yet simple art style. It is a tad short and I would have liked to see a little bit more experimentation; however, Etherborn is clearly one of the better, more rewarding puzzle games in recent memory and well worth a playthrough.

Etherborn is a good puzzle game that plays with the four dimensions, but the story is pointless and sometimes it's hard to read the levels.

Etherborn is a great puzzle game that fascinates us by level design, art, soundtrack and tone. Although there are also some mistakes, it's one of the great titles of this year 2019, we mustn't lose track of Altered Matter.

A unique and beautiful game that may be too hard sometimes, and with some control issues, but that results on one of the more enjoyable games on the last few weeks.

Etherborn has all the good ideas for a clever puzzle game. Then it ends after only four levels, never exploring its mechanics in a way that makes them stand out.

Etherborn is a charming game with great level design and soundtrack. While the story and character were rather flat the gameplay more than made up for it.

Overall, Etherborn is a short and sweet puzzle platformer that centers around ideas of identity and purpose.

Etherborn has so much potential, but its best moments are over far too quickly, leaving little replay value aside from showing people how cool the design is.

Nice excursion with great level design and puzzle elements. Just too short.

But these are overshadowed by the thin layer of frustration caused by the loose controls and overly restrictive camera. There is potential here and if you enjoy more artful puzzle games like the ones this game has been heavily compared to, it's at least worth a look. Just be ready for a few hangups along the way that might take you out of the experience.

Etherborn is a compelling, gravity-shifting puzzle platformer, but its convoluted plot and limited worlds stop it from being exceptional.

Etherborn looks fantastic, sounds incredible and revolves around a brilliant game mechanic that initially feels like it's going to lead to some clever puzzles but ramps things up far too quickly and engulfs you with frustratingly complex stages while you're still trying to find your feet. There's still a great game in there, but you'll need to have the patience of a saint to stumble up its 90-degree difficulty curve to find it.

Etherborn is a gravity-defying puzzle platformer with breath-taking visuals and MC Escher-like levels. The difficulty is enough to test your observation and critical thinking, but nothing gets stressful. You'll be done with a playthrough in around five hours, but it's time well spent.

Etherborn looks nice and has some really interesting puzzles but they are presented in a way that's just a little too slow, not to mention a little too frustrating, to be truly enjoyable.
