GreedFall Reviews
Disappointing is the best word to describe GreedFall.
The return to Teer Fradee largely disappoints in the De Vespe Conspiracy, although the PlayStation 5 upgrade works well. I wanted so much more in something called an expansion, even if the cost said I should temper my expectations. The De Vespe Conspiracy still tells an enjoyable tale, but the surrounding new enemies, empty location, and anticlimactic ending make for something akin to getting a dinner mint as a dessert rather than the chocolate melting cake.
Greedfall is an enjoyable jaunt, but it follows its influences a little too closely and fails to engage with its narrative themes in any meaningful manner.
Greedfall is an ambitious and, at times, enjoyable RPG that makes use of its unique setting to deliver a story full of intrigue and compelling themes. However, its clumsy presentation, slow gameplay and bug-prone nature leave it a game that always feels a few steps away from greatness. Greedfall definitely has its moments, but unfortunately, you’ll have to break through its severely rough exterior to find them.
A traditional RPG, it would've been much better if it was shorter in length as you'll start to notice a repetitive pattern in monsters, buildings, regions, and characters as you're playing. Despite that, it was an enjoyable experience, a good fit for gamers who enjoy this type of games and can look past its shortcomings.

It's a shame that a good game is held back by incredibly boring design decisions. I think Greedfall is on the verge of greatness but falls short in too many areas to really go down as a must-play. It's absolutely an enjoyable romp, just one plagued by the thought of what could have been.
I enjoyed my time with GreedFall, but it's already failed to leave a lasting impression on me. Its best moments shine bright and show how much potential Spiders has to develop in this style of RPG, but it isn't cohesive enough to work in concert. GreedFall is certainly worth checking out if you're aching for the old days of BioWare, but it's a tough sell for most others.
Unlike most studios in the industry which seem to deliver products that consistently fail to meet expectations and the hype, Spiders seems to manage getting better and better with each subsequent release. GreedFall is one of their better titles, if not the best, but it still falls somewhat short of being a truly great game. With that said, it's by no means bad, and it's certainly ambitious. If you find the subject matter intriguing, consider giving it a shot - it has lots to offer in terms of role-playing and storytelling, but fails in other areas.
Overly ambitious, GreedFall fails more than it seems to succeed, yet the games heart and Spiders passion shines through, making the game an enjoyable experience.
Greedfall is an ambitious RPG with several unique mechanical hooks, character builds and combat encounters that unfortunately buckles under the weight of a bloated and tedious narrative that often turns everything into a repetitive chore
Ultimately Greedfall is an OK game. It is neither good nor bad. It is however the best game Spiders have made to date, and that gives me hope that they do have a great game in them. I just hope they stop trying to emulate and instead try to innovate.
GreedFall takes place in an amazing and intriguing world but fails to be interesting on the gameplay front.
Spiders' latest game succeeds in lifting itself from the terrible mediocrity that enveloped The Techomancer, but it does so with an effort that, although commendable, is still not vigorous enough.

GreedFall's combat, dialogue, and romance are overshadowed by better RPGs, but it's competent enough to recommend with caveats.
GreedFall, the new Action-RPG from French studio Spiders, is overly ambitious for its own good, getting bogged down with bugs and poorly implemented ideas.
Anyway, Greedfall is an average action RPG offering lots of quests and a competent combat system. While the game's pace is quite slow and the graphics aren't great, there's still lots of hours of gameplay on offer here for genre fans to sink their teeth into.
GreedFall is Spiders' most ambitious RPG title to date, and it certainly shows. It features a great story and deep lore, with interesting characters and setting. However, it's brought down by its lower production values and janky combat, as well as the occasional technical issue that arose from time to time.
Greedfall is a missed opportunity. At first glance it seems like a really worked out game, with many options, worked out scenarios and much more. But little by little that mask is falling, and you start to see the seams of the game. However, and despite its failures in combat and camera, it is still enjoyable, and those who seek a role will get something out of it.

The Spiders studio, with the creation of Greedfall, took a big step towards improving the quality of its work. A mysterious world with a deep narrative of the Renaissance and the colonists can drown any player for hours. Personally, with the experience of this game, I was looking forward to seeing the future work of Spiders Studios. If you're a fan of action-role-playing, don't miss it.

Greedfall is a frustrating experience: there are some firm foundations to build from and it has all the makings of the next great action-RPG series. But the game lacks depth to really take it to lofty heights where it could knock the very best off their perch.
