The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors Reviews
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is a bit light on content, but what is here is a worthy follow-up to the side-scrolling cult classic. Those that don’t mind a short runtime will have a great time minmaxing the Battery Gauge to cause massive damage.
Return of the Warriors is short but enjoyable fun that is great for die-hard players who lived through the arcade days, as well as a great opportunity for players looking for a different action experience.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is a blessing for beat'em-up fans who want to experience a game that's a fitting tribute to the golden age of side scrolling beat'em-ups. Thanks to its wide cast of characters, it's possible to play through over and over and to experiment with new moves and techniques, while the audio ambiance is nothing short of fantastic. Both a sequel and a remake of a 16-bit game, Return of the Warriors is a beat'em-up gem on the Nintendo Switch catalogue.

The Ninja Warriors: Return of the Warriors is for those who love classic arcade or console games. Those players are fine with titles being a bit short, since the replayability comes through in getting better with the game or replaying with friends in tow. It certainly helps that everything from the expanded move set to the character differences and presentation is top-tier, 16-bit stuff and rather straightforward, except for the final boss. As long as you're coming in with a mindset of defeating the game more than once, you'll have a great time with this low-key classic.
The Ninja Saviors is a must have for fans of SNES-era beat'em ups.

While arcades have become few and far between, it’s nice to know the spirit of those classic games continues to live on.
Ninja Saviors is a great beat 'em up game that has been rebooted with updated graphics and sound.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is a fun throwback to a simpler time, but the bonuses don't make it a top five beat-em-up.
Ninja Saviors - Return of the Warrior is a precious walk down memory lane. For players that did not play the original Ninja Warriors title on SNES, the nostalgia effect may not garner the same interest as with others that remember the original title. Still, The Ninja Saviors - Return of the Warrior still applies some present day additions that may keep beat'em up fans interested for many nun-chuck swinging hours.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors will cost you $19.99 digitally and $29.99 for a physical copy. That’s a great price point for this kind of game. It’s short but loads of fun and there is plenty of challenge including a harder difficulty mode to keep you coming back for more. Each character also feels different enough that you will be compelled to try out as many as you can. What is nice is that when you lose a life and continue, you can change characters. So if you have trouble with one, you don’t have to fully commit to using them. There are also Time Attack modes and Online Rankings for those of you who like to speedrun and compete for the best time. All in all this is a nice package that fans of the original game or the SNES sequel will not want to miss. As for everyone else, this is a game well worth trying out.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is a fun, if not a bit basic, return to the glorious beat-em-ups of the ’90s.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors gets a lot of things right with its presentation, quality action and fun co-op mode. It is that rare fighting game that is both accessible and yet deep as you learn how to best use a character. The updates here are somewhat minimal, which just goes to show how good the original game really was. It is still a great deal of fun for those who have an old-school brawling itch they need to scratch.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is an entertaining and welcome flashback to the 1990s. Those who are looking for some beat-em-up fun with a friend should take this game for a spin, even if it’s a short one. After all, who says android ninjas aren’t cool?
It's a solid beat-em-up with solid gameplay that brings back some of the fun of the arcade classics like Double Dragon and Final Fight. But once you beat it, unless you absolutely have to have the best leaderboard score, you'll hardly touch it again. If you love old school games as I do, this game isn't a complete waste of cash for the price. The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors isn't a bad game, just not a great one.
If there’s one thing to take away from all of this, it’s the fact that the beat-em-up is hopefully back for good and not going anywhere. Whatever your cup of tea is in the genre, whomever has their fists flying and legs kicking, there’s sure to be a new game in the modern era to please fans of this style of game. The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is not only a return for this series, but it’s a return for all games that fall into this same category. It feels right at home with everything else releasing, but it’s time to take the ninjas into a new setting now.
I believe that fans of the series will absolutely love having this reboot in their collection. However, I was not really a fan of how the ninjas walk in a single straight path. Some of the enemies, specifically bosses and the front armored robot, are incredibly obnoxious considering how the ninjas are able to move. Do not get me wrong though, it is amazing that the series has been revived and looks and sounds spectacular. The price point is fair but definitely, a must get if ever on sale. You can also get this physically and looks to be a beauty to have in your collection. Overall this a worthwhile buy for those who are established fans of the beat em up genre.
The Ninja Saviors: Return of the Warriors is worth playing through once or twice and after that, you've experienced all it has to offer.
The Ninja Saviors needs little introduction, proving to be as faithful to the SNES classic as one can get. The updated presentation and new characters make this a one-way trip worth playing once again.
As a set of work, The Ninja Saviors - Return of the Warriors is a great game to play alone (or even with a couch friend) with a very well-metered challenge level. The game knows what it wants to achieve, who its audience is, and so knows how to handle the scope of the project. If in audiovisual terms it can look for classic elements very competently, with small doses of modernity, the gameplay shines when dealing with simplicity with something sophisticated, although a greater variety of possibilities is lacking. The campaign is short and the replay factor depends on the player's thirst for trophies and perfection, but everything is well dosed to ensure the game doesn't become too repetitive before it's over.
