Torchlight II on the Nintendo Switch is not just a re-release of an established game, but it takes full advantage of this transformer-like platform. Its ability to utilize all the Switch's hardware to make the game more appealing was achieved, without cutting corners or gameplay experience. Offering hours and hours of single or multiplayer monster demolishing gameplay, Torchlight II is everything it was when it first debuted, and more. Torchlight II will release on September 3rd, 2019 on the Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

Overall the Nintendo Switch version of Torchlight II is excellent. With full multiplayer support, both local and online, unique pets based on your console of choice and so many quality of life updates geared towards console players, Torchlight II is an ARPG worth picking up. If your a console player who loves ARPG's or are interested in ARPG's or you just love Torchlight II, I suggest taking a look at one of the best ARPG's on the market.

Art style and branding aside, this is about as direct of a sequel to Diablo II as one could imagine

If you had even the slightest interest in the original Torchlight, or if you're tired of Diablo III but are still itching for some more loot-grabbing RPG action, Torchlight II is well worth the asking price.

Torchlight II, Runic Games' latest kill sandbox, is one of the best action-RPGs around.

It's a colourful, heartfelt and well-judged spin on one of the most reliably engrossing genres knocking around.

Probably the best dungeon crawler in the world, including Diablo III. And what it lacks in storytelling and originality it makes up with pitch perfect design and pacing.

If you're a fan of hack 'n slashes, loot fests, or dungeon crawlers, definitely pick up Torchlight II. It's absolutely worth your time and money, and should hold your attention for quite a while. There are portions of the game that could certainly use a little bit of polish, but it's unlikely these problems will turn you off from the game entirely. Grab the game, grab some friends, and get to clicking.

Torchlight II is as fun on the Switch as it was back when it launched on PCs seven years ago.  The controls on the Switch feel pretty good and eased my worries about transitioning from PC to console.  While a lot of the game is basically fighting enemies, collecting loot, and repeat, if you're into games like the Diablo series you should enjoy Torchlight II, and at a third of the price of Diablo III (at least on the Switch), Torchlight II is a great alternative.

At the risk of sounding overly infatuated, I cannot begin to understand how the hell Torchlight II has aged so well. The art style, combat mechanics, and even loot drop loop are so finely tuned that it feels like the game fits in as well now as it did, seven years ago. With the obvious exception of the big boys over at Blizzard, the argument could be made that this is the best dungeon crawler on current generation consoles. Factor in the price tag of a mere $20, and this becomes an instant must buy. Just do yourself a favor and download this game. You can thank me later. …Don't worry. I'll wait.

Torchlight II eagerly empowers the player with many of the things that made classic ARPGs great, and then it builds even more into the formula. It's perfect for an hour of your time or an online weekend binge with friends.

Torchlight II is a dungeon crawler of 2012 that has aged quite well. With a very solid playable base created by Diablo's parents, and an audiovisual section that keep the type after these 7 years, we finally see it release on consoles, and it has done it in an unbeatable way, almost without news but keeping the type . Hopefully this is just a prelude to what is to come ...

A massive action-RPG in a small package. A few misjudged dalliances with the past don't hold it back from a bright future.

The main quality of Torchlight II is knowing how to deal with its qualities and limitations. While comparisons to the great classics of the genre are inevitable, the game manages to distinguish itself with identity and guarantees some good hours of fun, exploration and stylish destruction of hordes and more hordes of enemies.

We are facing one of the best exponents of Action RPG that we can find on consoles. Flowing action, continuous progression, ease of use, perfect playability and an artistic finish that maintains the type 7 years later ... whatever we say is little to extol a game that you are forced to buy if you did not already enjoy it on PC

Torchlight 2 doesn't reinvent the series, but there's an absurd amount more of everything that made the original great.
