Those deeply entrenched in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare's multiplayer component have likely already invested in this selection, but for anybody else, the Havoc pack delivers exactly what it says on the tin, with the stress-inducing Exo Zombies mode, some great new maps and a beefy weapon to add to the loadout. It's certainly a good indication of the quality to expect from Sledgehammer's next three DLC instalments.

The Havoc add-on for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare offers a pretty compelling package to fans of the shooter. While the competitive maps are interesting and varied, by far the most impressive aspect is the Exo Zombies mode that makes the investment more than worth it for co-op fans.

For this pack to be a worthwhile pick-up you're going to need to be a consummate Call of Duty fan, at which point you've no doubt already splashed out on the season pass. There's a decent amount of content spread across the two modes, but the long term value ultimately comes from the map pack rather than the Exo Zombies mode.

The reworked zombies mode is just one reason to get the Havoc DLC pack. The best reason to get it lies in the four new maps, which have a lot of replay value not only for team deathmatch, but the other modes as well.

If the quality of the output remains this good, Advanced Warfare may be the first Call of Duty in years to actually deserve the purchase of the Season Pass. It adds some key stuff, including zombies, which will no doubt tempt even the stingiest of DLC shoppers. Whatever you're willing to pay for it, you won't be disappointed when you finally pull the trigger.

Sledgehammer has not strayed from the classic CoD DLC formula. They have taken a conservative, safe approach with this map pack. This however should be enough to keep all those CoD fans happy until the next batch of DLC drops.

First DLC for Activision's latest military shooter is robust, though Exo Zombies probably should have been included in the base game

Advanced Warfare's first map pack, Havoc, doesn't quite have the fit and finish that the game launched with. A lack of available playlists is a big bummer for anyone who doesn't want to play the handful of available modes. Sledgehammer could take a few cues from Treyarch for the extension of this zombie storyline... if there is one.

I'm interested in seeing where this goes, even if Sledgehammer wasn't able to carve out their own signature mode. If you're just in it for the maps, you can probably skip this one.

It offers no surprises or innovation, least of all in the new Exo Zombies mode, but most of the new maps are great and this first download is surprisingly good value.

Havoc's a very decent package overall. As part one of the Season Pass, this is a strong chunk of content for the sharpest COD in years. It mixes fan service with proper map design, and gives those still addicted to that ADS snap more reason than ever to keeping plugging away towards that next prestige.
