Yet, while I had issues with Neo Cab, I will admit that it's worth the fare. It perhaps didn't set my world on fire, nor do I think it's going to climb atop anyone's list of favorite games this year, but it's at least a nice ride while it lasts.

Neo Cab tries to act deep and some people may very well believe its acting with all the blue and purple lights, but at best it’s quite cliché and at worst it’s just shallow and superficial.

For everything Neo Cab gets right, there are a few things I wish the game could have done better.

Neo Cab asks a lot of interesting questions about precariousness, automation, social control through technology, data usage, and especially how to hold on to your humanity in a monopoly under unregulated capitalism. The execution of the game is questionable, but it can be worth it to give it a look for fans of narrative-focused experiences.

Neo Cab is very similar to story-based indie titles, but the difference is that it is telling its story way better, and If the gameplay had more depth or if the characters had voice, it could have become an absolute hit.

Neo Cab is a delightful experience that sometimes trips over itself due to certain design choices. Make sure to check out the demo before purchasing.

Neo Cab takes a dark, cynical look at a near future dominated by one megacorporation. For as bleak as it is, there's a level of catharsis to be found in its narrative, which mostly unfolds in the backseat of the protagonist's car.

A chilled narrative text adventure set in a dystopian technological future that could be closer than it seems. It may be niche, but it doesn't outstay its welcome.

Neo Cab is a visual novel that touches upon relevant points of interest for the future of society and with its well written dialogues and varied characters, the result is an interesting and engaging effort. While its length is too short, Neo Cab provides strong incentives for players to return to it, despite a main plot that could benefit from more development.

Though encumbered by technical issues and a forgettable mystery, Neo Cab is worth the fare thanks to incisive commentary and a colorful cast of characters.

Neo Cab does it's neo-noir thing, but you'll often feel more like a passenger than a driver.

Neo Cab is a smart visual novel that looks forward, but also feels very current.

One of the best narrative-based games of the year, that tackles a number of contemporary issues in an original and entertaining manner and whose main fault is merely a lack of budget.

When it comes to cyberpunk stories/adventures who knew that the Switch would slowly end up with a collection of them of sorts? I suppose the neon-tinged visuals and semi-futuristic settings that are then possible allow for exploring slightly different narrative territory, and that’s something that Neo Cab does well...

Neo Cab is a narrative game that introduces us into the skin of a taxi driver in a not-so-future dystopia, where existential problems and reflections will envolve us one by one and make us want to continue to stick to the screen with the little stories of the secondary characters that we will meet. Perhaps the main story falls short of these sub-stories, but overall it is a remarkable game and recommended for lovers of this type of games.

Lina's week-long adventure is a brief but intense adventure in technology, human nature, and all the ways those two can intersect. Where it lacks in length, it makes up for with compelling deeper stories about people.

Neo Can is ambitious and thoughtful, but it sometimes overshoots into something too bleak.
