Ultimately, it was still worth the wait to get my hands on Indivisible. Sure it has some rough corners that could use some smoothing, as well as some irritating glitches, but none of that prevented me from having a blast. For $29.99, this is a tremendous ARPG that any fan of the genre should pick up. I just hope it’s not the last we see of this universe. Lab Zero have the bones of a great adventure here, and it’d be a shame for it to end with just one game. It’s not perfect, but it’s still highly recommended.

Indivisible is what happens when a Metroidvania type of game is given RPG elements and it's a successful case at that. Thanks to its marvelous looking and sounding world, exploration mechanics and combat that help make up for the plot's poor pacing and fun humor, Indivisible is a worthy game to spend many hours with.

While there might be something here for everyone to enjoy, your view of what makes turn-based Metroidvania fun or problematic is sure to be divisive.

It's great to see a developer so early in its life step out and experiment with new genres, and 505 games has taken its signature art style to create a stunning, original world.

Although it's lacking the day one patch, Indivisible is as enjoyable on the Nintendo Switch as on the rest of the platforms. With a unique style and mix of genres, it can be considered one of those games that you either love or hate, but it's so refreshing that deserves a chance.

Indivisible offers a brilliant mish-mash of genres that doesn’t only look beautiful, but also just so happens to be a heck of a lot of fun to play. Between the effective Metroidvania-style exploration and the entertaining combat, there’s plenty on offer to get you completely absorbed into the adventure. It does have some imperfections, most notably with the in-game map and the easy difficulty of the game, but they certainly don’t hamper what is otherwise a fantastic experience that Nintendo Switch gamers will definitely want to be a part of.

But it's the characters, music, art-style and worldbuilding that make it truly stand out from other RPG's. Whether it will become a classic like RPG's of old remains to be seen. But Lab Zero Games has shown that they are more than capable of bringing their unique talents to genres other than 2D-fighters and I cannot wait to see what is coming next.

Indivisible is just as good as it ever was, and the visuals hold up well on the Nintendo Switch. The story is engrossing, the gameplay is challenging yet fun, and the hand drawn environments are beautiful.

Indivisible is an ambitious game, and there are moments where it seems to buckle somewhat under that ambition.

A fantastically charming mix of genres that, put together, produce a Metroidvania RPG that is utterly engaging. Even when Indivisible manages to misstep, the gorgeous aesthetic and oddball characters bring this adventure to life in a way that makes it an utter joy hold in your hands. If you can, take some time and grab Indivisible on Nintendo's handheld console.

Probably one of the things I appreciate most in an indie game is for it to surprise me, and with its unwillingness to be constrained by a clear single genre Indivisible absolutely does that...

It’s not a definite must play, but there’s something about Indivisible that can’t be ignored. If you’re looking for something a bit different, with lots of charm and character, then look no further.

Despite this, as mentioned right up front, I absolutely loved playing Indivisible.  The combat being fairly easy just means the story has to carry the weight and the well-designed and animated cast is more than up to the job.

It looks good (mostly), and has all the qualities that seem like it would make a great game. Not only does it fail to come together coherently, yet it also it lacks a sense of magic or "heart" that the art style would suggest it possesses. While nothing is largely technically wrong with Indivisible, it fails to be engaging as a RPG, its platforming fails to recommend it on this front, and the story never goes anywhere significant to offer this up either. This isn't bad, but it just isn't that good either.

Indivisible offers a diverse and well-spelled world with interesting characters and more than 20 companions, each with their own unique fighting skills, but all this variability dies in the abyss of button mashing during battles and high peaks of difficulty in the arcade part of the story. As a result, you yawn during monotonous fights and rage at moments of overcoming platforming sections.

Indivisible is a great game with lots of positives, but unfortunately some weak RPG elements and wasted potential prevent it from becoming a hit.

With a deep storyline and a mixture of different gameplay styles, Indivisible is an innovative and fun experience with the sole blunder of the abysmal control scheme.

You will definitely like Indivisible's great art style, animations and cinematics. But unfortunately, gameplay mechanics and story telling are not quite good.
