Halo: The Master Chief Collection Reviews
Halo: The Master Chief Collection is one of my favorite videogames of all time. It cannot be stated just how incredible the work that 343 Industries and multiple other studios have put into it over the past 5+ years to get it here. Any future compilation of titles should look to this as the benchmark for what a collection of beloved titles should be.
If this is your first time playing Halo 4, prepare for a treat. Gameplay remains identical to previous installments, but with some additions enhancing the experience. The story is also a big highlight. With this game, it's hard not to consider Master Chief and Cortana as gaming's greatest duo. Halo 4 caps off The Master Chief Collection on PC nearly perfectly.
Post patching, Halo: The Master Chief Collection's small quirks can easily be overlooked, though we certainly haven't been pleased with matchmaking issues within the first couple of weeks. For those new to the universe of Halo, a vast array of single and multiplayer content awaits, all revolving around one of the greater ongoing stories available in gaming and featuring the franchise's hallmark genre-defining arena combat. For the more initiated, a chance to go back and relive many fond moments from a whole new perspective is also a boon. With Spartan-Ops content on the way, the Halo Championship Series, Nightfall, and The Guardians Beta included in the package, we can safely say that there is some aspect of this collection that should appeal to all, from those veterans of the UNSC who proudly achieved Level 50 on their original Xbox console, to the shiniest new greenhorn Spartan... Hoo-Rah!
The Halo 3: ODST port on PC is essentially perfect, and so far, it's 343 Industries' best work with the Master Chief Collection.
Halo 3: ODST is a unique take on a storied series that holds up well and 343 have done an excellent job of porting it to PC.
Today on PC, the campaign for Halo 3: ODST is a mere $4.99. A majority of the troopers may not be the most engaging, but the combat and music are a treat. The weapons, from the Spartan Laser to the Brute Plasma Rifle, are a blast to use. The game also brings ODST Firefight mode to The Master Chief Collection for all of your survival needs.
Compared with the elite Spartan, although the adventures written by ODST in mortal bodies are a bit less legendary, there are more human emotions that players can resonate in the game.

Finally Halo 3 is remastered in all it's glory. It's age showing, but not holding it back, not for a second. Halo is home again.
Halo 3 allows PC gamers to experience one of the greatest titles for the Xbox 360 while concluding the story of the original trilogy.
Halo 3 is the most iconic entry in Microsoft's sci-fi shooter franchise, but how well does Master Chief's romp translate to PC?
Halo 3 for PC is an excellent re-release of an already amazing FPS, despite being held back by a few issues (no advanced graphics settings and the heavy changes of the netcode).

The port of Halo 3 to PC is excellent across the board, and the addition of new features and content make it the best the game has ever felt to play.
Halo 3 therefore proves to be a re-edition perfectly in line with the standards to which the guys of 343 Industries have accustomed us in recent years, which will be attractive both in the eyes of old fans and those of any newbies eager to recover one of the most valuable pieces in the videogame history of the last twenty years.

In conclusion, Halo 3 comes to PC in a really good way, with a version that takes advantage of the platform on which it runs and that with a decent PC allows us to play it in a really fluid and pleasant way but with the addition of the keyboard and mouse, which is undoubtedly a very different experience to what we are used to having using the Xbox controller.

Halo: Reach (via the Master Chief Collection on Steam) is like fine wine. It aged well - a perfect blend of old-school shooting, driven by nostalgia and backed with super solid gameplay and noteworthy additions. Case in point: dedicated servers to make the online experience as seamless as humanly possible.

Halo: MCC is like a divorced dad who stopped drinking, started going to the gym, and went to therapy to better himself.
Could've taken the time to fix a few minor things, though ultimately did not mess with perfection.
We are still facing one of the best games of the last generation. With the caveat that it now has more chances and arrives with a brilliant facelift. There's no reason not to recommend Halo Reach to almost any player who likes shooters, it's a veteran who has aged great and is simply a must-have. The milestone of bringing the entire Master Chief Collection to PC will give the franchise a breath of fresh air, and it's good that the first title to arrive is Reach.
