Spaceland Reviews
Despite the casual and simplified nature of the game, Spaceland is a competent and solid tactical RPG which everyone can enjoy. The fact you only have a choice of five teammates may have initially surprised and confused me, as I’m used to having a whole bunch to pick from, but the unique skills and personalities add a level of strategy into the game which I wasn’t expecting. If you’re looking for a more casual Xcom-like experience, which short missions that you can pick up and play in short bursts, then you need not look any further, buy this game!
Stranded on a distant, icy planet, can Evan find the warmth in his heart to melt away the frosty shortcomings of Spaceland? Okay, enough cold puns.
When it comes to tactical squad-based shooters simply nothing compares to the X-Com series...
From its delightful visuals to its enjoyable SRPG gameplay, there's a lot to love about Spaceland and it's impressively accessible, too.
Despite some obvious flaws, and some parts that were somewhat rough around the edges, Spaceland offers great fun for something not coming from big name studios.
Spaceland was a fun and challenging experience that is pretty different from a lot of modern-day strategy games that have come out recently.
Spaceland mimics old school turn-based strategy games with great success, though it does become repetitive after awhile.
Mashing together Starcraft and XCOM, Spaceland is one of the most fun, turn-based strategy games out there.
