While it's shooter mechanics and open mission structure, make the game fun to play. There are also plenty of technical flaws or poor design choices that ruin that same fun experience. Glitchy maps, weird AI movements and a poor story make this shooting adventure feel mediocre instead of great.

As with the previous game, there is still some room for improvement but Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is a step in the right direction. A big step, if anything.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is a game for those who like to enjoy the feeling of infiltrating, moving freely and meticulously studying their targets before carrying out the final attack. Although isn't a triple A, the game give us what is expected of him.

Surprise considering the background of the saga. Fortunately, good sales have led to it continuing to end up leaving the game at hand. A game that gives us enough freedom on the routes to choose and more than expected in the way to face its playable proposal, away from the typical corseted games full of scripts that force you to perform the actions in a single possible way. And the best thing is that you can change the way you play as you feel like, at any time, depending on your desire for infiltration, tactics, or go a little more on board. Although it does not shine so much in every aspect and way of playing, the mixture is good, it leaves you with a good taste in your mouth, and the desire to repeat.

While the game has a great arsenal and fun bullet trajectory mechanics, the sniping never really felt like it lasted long enough before alarms sounded, and enemies began to swarm.

Sniper Ghost Warrior: Contracts takes the series in an odd, yet interesting direction while also lacking the necessary polish to deliver a smooth experience.
CI Games venture into a game that’s more akin to IO Interactive’s HITMAN structure fails to provide the tools for the player to create their own narrative. It often feels disjointed, overly punishing and restrictive for no reason. A notch above Ghost Warrior 3, but not by much.

Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is an awful misfire that proves CI Games still doesn't know what it wants to do with its franchise. Unfortunately, it is all but marred by bugs, especially the way the save system currently works… or doesn’t. If you’re in the market for a new sniping shooter, I cannot in good conscious recommend Contracts, it’s simply too frustrating to play in its current state.
It’s been quite a few years since the first installment of the series, but CI Games finally decided to stop trying making AAA titles and develop a good game instead. Ghost Warrior Contracts is like a phoenix rising from the ashes of Ghost Warrior 3.
Sometimes the whole is greater than the sum of its parts, bugs or shoddy graphics be damned. But not this time. SGWC is a mess from top to bottom, and even its moments of enjoyment are not worth the head-spinning number of missteps.
Contracts is a signal to the world that the Sniper Ghost Warrior franchise is no longer content on being a niche franchise. It is coming for the stealth big boys
When Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts works, it works amazingly well. The process of spotting, planning, and sniping makes for a tense, engaging experience, especially given the expansive maps that almost always provide multiple vantage points and approaches. However, the game too often demands that players close the gap and suffers as a result. Although Seeker’s toolkit is filled with toys, too many rely on noise, and the enemies flock to the slightest sign of the player’s presence, making the game tougher than will likely be enjoyable for many. Add to that the bugs that, although not game-breaking, are annoying and a story that is not much of a story at all, and Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts falls short of its ambitions. Maybe next time, CI Games will have its scope calibrated properly.
An experience for those focused and patient snipers, but the performance issues may hamper the immersion and fun in a world with a structure that only has so much to offer.
It is a promising new direction that they are taking the franchise in and I hope the developer gets the chance to iterate on this formula as we desperately need a modern sniper game.
The shift from random sniper dude who I don’t care about to shadow sniper with cool tech is a big step in the right direction for the series. As is the segmented contract system, which is something I want to see a lot more of in DLC or sequels. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is inventive and rewarding, with so many ways to tackle the contracts, challenges, and bounties – this is a game that celebrates its replayability. While there’s rough edges, this is the most satisfying game about being a sniper for a modest price. Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts executes with enough precision to reach its target.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts is a very strange title. At some points it feels like a triple A shooter with cinematic and engaging action, and at some points it feels like an under developed game! Still, if you are a die hard shooter fan and you have no other option on your hands, you can give Sniper a try and you might actually end up enjoying it.

Despite remaining true to the essence of the franchise, Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts has no elements to highlight in the FPS scene and may represent an option that attracts the attention of the public that remains true to this CI Games proposal, but nothing more.
