It's very apparent that Lost Ember is a labour of love; one that forgoes any sort of depth and complexity in gameplay for the sake of beautiful presentation and an interesting story.

Lost Ember may have a predictable story but its emotional impact is still there and traveling a unique world as plenty of different animals sets it apart from others in the genre.

Despite a slow start and some minor bugs, Lost Ember is a beautifully designed game that offers great story and fun gameplay. Last Ember is 7 hours long game, but thanks to diversity in collectables, it has great repeat value too.

I enjoyed every moment of Lost Ember, and when I stopped playing, I just wanted to get back in the game and wander around more and find more of the memories.

An incredibly relaxing experience, with a great story to tell. Exploring the breathtaking environments as adorable animals is consistantly satisfying. The voice acting does detract from some moments, but Lost Ember's charm and beauty is undeniable

Though it follows a very recognisable 'indie adventure' formula, Lost Ember has exactly the right amount of heart and creativity to make it compelling

Unless you're curious about the narrative, we'd beware of the dog in this case.

Lost Ember is defined by its exuberant art style, musical score, and narrative. It tells a simple yet coherent story and gives you just enough at each memory to make you want to press onwards and learn what happens next.

I am sure that we can still expect a lot from Moonlight Studios and will see it in the coming years. The potential is definitely there. Maybe it was also an attempt to start on three platforms at the same time that threw a little stone in the way of the deserved success.

Lost Ember is a beautiful wild adventure, a journey through the memory of a lost civilization, a travel touched by too many technical errors.

Lost Ember clocks in at about six hours per play, depending on your particular style. That's a pretty decent amount of time for you to experience the story and get to know all the types of wildlife available. Add on a couple more runs to find all of the hidden items and I'd say it is well worth the $29.99 US price tag. If you're a fan of games like Journey and What Remains of Edith Finch, make sure to check out Lost Ember ASAP.

Games are often escapist entertainment, but not everyone enjoys games that are full of tension, conflict or violence - at least all of the time. Lost Ember is a different form of escapism, an emotional and soothing journey into the natural world and its nonhuman inhabitants.

Lost Ember is a glimpse and brings an exciting, dense and quirky story. The silence of the wolf in his memories was very well translated in the narrative, which shows a reality subject to forgiveness, revenge and anguish in the discoveries. Lost Ember should be played calmly, enjoying the view, especially the small details and the sounds of nature, braving the forest with various animals. Only loses points in processing and uneven fps, leaving the experience tiring.

Lost Ember is almost a good game. Its animal exploration mechanics are well-realized. Unfortunately, it's bogged down by technical issues, lackluster storytelling, and frustrating event flagging.

Lost Ember is a great looking game that provides a number of different ways to play and explore its world. However, there are too many distracting performance issues that need addressing to improve its playability.

Too many glitches, too few truly memorable moments, and an overabundance of wombats prevent the game from becoming a truly majestic beast.
