What a way to finish a great package. Yakuza 5 was and still is an epic story with some crazy and fun gameplay systems that no one in their right mind should miss.

Yakuza 5 was a solid game on its own, and of the three titles in the Yakuza Remastered Collection it was arguably the title with the least amount of changes needed. But Yakuza 5 Remastered does a great job of using localization to modify an already great story and set of substories to tell an even more effective story than before.

Yakuza 5 Remastered may look somewhat dated, but the story and gameplay make it one of the best in the Yakuza series.

Yakuza 5 only trails behind Yakuza 0 in terms of quality. It is a game with a fantastic story, solid technical performance, fun fighting mechanics and a ridiculous amount of content.

Yakuza 5 is the most ambitious in the entire saga. After 8 years since its launch it's still unbeatable and is the best way to finish the remastered collection.

Yakuza 5's combat is fine-tuned and much more satisfying although it still isn't the greatest of the series.

‎Yakuza 5 Remastered is the best installment in Kiryu's remastered trilogy, but it's still a poor effort by RGG Studio to adapt the game with better graphics and even controls. As a game, it is one of the best in the entire series and its scale and ambition are as big as any AAA with infinitely more budget.‎

The final chapter on the Yakuza Remastered Collection is a quality one, and definitely one that should not be missed by Yakuza fans. The bigger, bolder and weirder Yakuza game yet.

Between the minigames, side quests, substories, idol simulator, and main story, Yakuza 5 offers a truly stunning value for your money.

Yakuza 5 Remastered proves that great games are timeless, as Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio has gone all out, expanding the number of playable characters and locales to explore. As expected, the voice acting is still superb, and the newly re-translated English dialogue is excellent. There are so many substories and minigames to enjoy, such as idol performances, hunting in snowy Hokkaido, fishing, batting cages, snowball fights, and more that truly brings a fantastic close to The Yakuza Remastered Collection.

Whether it's Kiryu's horribly addictive taxi driving quests or Saejima's reflective survival-based hunting expeditions, you can lose hour after hour after hour to Yakuza 5, but it always feels like there's a new obsession just waiting around the next corner.
