Interrogation: You will be deceived is a game that some will play straight through for the narrative experience and some will for the experience of being a detective. Both offer an amazing experience that is elevated by the characters and strong narrative. I just wish that during the times of stress, the game made the player feel a sense of angst.

Interrogation: You will be deceived uses its detective story and a compelling cast of characters as a jumping-off point to explore morality and social issues. Even if it sometimes gets a bit lost in the philosophical weeds at the expense of its narrative, the core gameplay of conversation puzzles and resource management is solid and the noir atmosphere absorbing.

Interrogation presents a unique idea but struggles to follow through.

That about wraps this investigation, Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived is no longer a suspect to being a bad game. Multiple levels of difficulty allow for multiple playthroughs. The Visual Novel is interesting enough for players who just want the story, while the other two difficulties add a bit of twists and turns to the already enjoyable game. Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived certainly is with the asking price of $12.99.

A beautiful looking Noir visual novel that occasionally fumbles some big issues. It has lofty aims, but a less than flawless execution.

It has its issues, like how annoyingly precise you have to be with your moves, or how it's sometimes hard to understand why you failed, leading to plenty of trial-and-error, and, yes, this is a niche title that won't appeal to just about anyone. Having said that, it's a very good interrogation sim, features a great noir art style, and is deeply immersive.

If you're into cop shows or if you think you have what it takes to be a master interrogator, you should give this one a shot (but don't expect too much).

You are looking for an amazing detective game? Interrogation: You Will Be Deceived is one of your best options and one of my favourite games of 2019. The game might looks simple, but it's really deep and as a detective, you have to face the suspects, make them confess, save the city and also, accept the consequences

There are interesting concepts at play here and I definitely understand why the team behind Interrogation were inspired to create it. It looks great with a black and white, noir-like visual style which really lands. From gameplay to messaging, though, Interrogation fails on almost every other level. Some of the more insane scenes that show up are something to behold but not for any sort of good reason. Don't be deceived into thinking Interrogation is worth your time.

Barring some bugs that will hopefully get patched soon, I really enjoyed my time with Interrogation – You Will Be Deceived. The interconnected systems that give consequences even to your “kind” options really make me want to dig in and figure out just what effects all my actions have.

Interrogation is a good game. It lacks the cut and thrust of a shoot ’em up, or the intensity of driving an F1 track. But for what it lacks it makes up for in atmosphere and pressure. I really enjoyed playing Interrogation, but I felt that it would be a very good part of a bigger game. All the other aspects could have been more interactive to make the game grow. Maybe Critique Gaming will expand upon the idea and go bigger and better. Fingers crossed, because I’m definitely on the look out for what they are going to do next. I have decided to award Interrogation: You Will be Deceived a Thumb Culture Silver Award.

Who can we get on the Case? We need Perry......No, not a lawyer, we need a cop, who will do what needs to be done, the right thing or the effective thing? Protect and serve with the law at our side, or at any price that can be demanded? Interrogation is going to make us not only choose and play but even ask ourselves what kind of morals we have, and how much we should trust them.
