Between The Rebel Collection and the Assassin's Creed 3 + Liberation packs, the Nintendo Switch has the pinnacle of the series available for it now, as far as I'm concerned. Having these games available for on-the-go play makes the mild concessions made more than a fair tradeoff, and it speaks to the quality of Rogue in particular that I was more than happy to play it through yet again. It's a rare game indeed that ropes me in for a third replay.

Assassin's Creed The Rebel Collection does not bring anything new to the series, yet this was expectable. Fortunately the Nintendo Switch conversion went unharmed, and both games allow two big single-player "pirate simulators" to be portable. Shay and Edward suffer little technical issues but their respective design limits are counteracted by each other, even for the majority of the public only Black Flag will be worth the buy. Only for collection or if you didn't have the chance to play these games on current gen.

Step back into the Animus and relive the wonder of being both an Assassin and a Templar in The Rebel Collection. Ubisoft brings players back into Assassin's Creed IV Black Flag and Assassin's Creed Rogue. The collection is a fantastic way to see two great games be brought to a current-generation console and to a new generation of players.

Overall, you’re getting a massive amount of content in Assassin’s Creed: The Rebel Collection, with the port of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag being one of the more impressive examples of an open-world game on Nintendo’s handheld and Assassin’s Creed Rogue being worthy of a playthrough if you haven’t yet played it.

Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection brings two games of the acknowledged series to the Nintendo Switch and one of the best things that can be said is that they still hold the test of time. The sea battles are still enjoyable and the heaps of content to explore, courtesy of the additional content as well, make this compilation a very welcome contribution to the catalogue of the Nintendo Switch, even more so in time for the holiday season.

Assassin's Creed: The Rebel Collection for Nintendo Switch significantly undermines visuals for portability; there are better (and cheaper) options for Black Flag and Rogue.

On Nintendo Switch, with the Rebel Collection, Ubisoft has packaged a small jewel, capable of guaranteeing technical performance that (especially in portability) has not made us regret the console versions in the least.

For fans of Assassin's Creed who only own a Switch now or who simply want a reason to play these games again, this is a lot of game to sail through. And for anyone who never experienced Black Flag, or indeed the series as a whole, this is a great entry point.
