But compared with the bugs, missing features originally promised, and the fact that the game itself just looks like it got a shiny new paint job merely to hide the rust, Warcraft Reforged just isn’t worth the money.

Warcraft 3 Reforged was build on fandom of the original game and if you like original story you will be able to enjoy also this remaster. Wors thing about the game is not a game itself, but promises made before. Without these promises, game could be accepted by the community much better, as a kind of regular "HD patch".

It grew the universe and helped define that high-fantasy art-style we've come to know of as “hey, that looks like a Blizzard game”.

“If you set your expectations a little lower, then Warcraft 3 Reforged is a game worthy of your time and money. Sadly, for many of us out there, we were expecting a little more”

In this state, the best way to describe Warcraft III: Reforged is "serviceable." Taken as a whole, just like the original, the remaster offers a great gameplay experience for newcomers, but there's not much here that would justify a purchase if you've already played the classic.

Warcraft III was a great RTS, and Warcraft III Reforged still is, but has a lot of issues. All races are balanced and the campaign is epic, but this remastered version has a number of issues that cannot be ignored, such as disconnecting from multiplayer or options that were in the original and gone in Reforged.

A successful update of a great game's presentation, but which removes a number of features that may leave old fans hurting.

Is Warcraft III: Reforged worth it? Of course, but only provided you've never played Warcraft III or if you want to relive its great single player campaign. As far as the multiplayer goes, there are big problems there, that will surely require some time to get fixed.

Fans of the original are clearly miffed but, if like me, you missed it the first time, or haven’t played in ages, Warcraft 3: Reforged is a game that simply must be played

The heavy criticism towards Warcraft III: Reforged has nothing to do with the quality of the experience therein. This remains the wonderful real-time strategy that thousands of people have loved. The real problems begin when you take the changes of this remaster into consideration. The half-baked, unimpressive new engine and hit-or-miss design choices; the numerous bugs and network issues; and, finally, those mind-numbing, corporate-smelling decisions, like the fact that custom maps now belong to Blizzard, or how Reforged effectively ruins the original for those who don't even own the new game.

Warcraft III Reforged is at least equal to itself and it is already something. Yes, its graphics engine fails to display a fluidity worthy of the finesse of its redesign. But the game mechanics, the storyboarding of the campaigns and augmented narration convince the player even more that he is facing one of the big names in the history of video games. If you are not a player who is looking to be sharp to enter esports, you will also have a great time online. Don't give in to blind bashing. Make your own opinion!

The legendary Warcraft is back, more beautiful and atmospheric than ever. But also full of failings and controversy

The visual upgrade, in particular, is awesome and the “director’s cut” edit of the original campaigns into a beautifully written seven campaign arc, does not disappoint. However, it somehow manages to miss the sweet spot the original so lovingly crafted. Custom games have been marred by Blizzard’s new-found enlightenment over user rights, and strange decisions like replacing the original game client with the Reforged client have merit for scaring older fans off. It is also very clear the game needs polish. For all intents and purposes, it does feel like a rather lazily crafted remaster of an excellent game. Despite this, the game is enjoyable and satisfies most of the nostalgia driven cravings older gamers might have. Newer gamers, however, might be better off looking elsewhere for their RTS fix.

Warcraft III: Reforged still delivers the same satisfying core gameplay and laudable campaigns, but Blizzard under-delivered on promises and removed features that made the original game something exceptional.

Warcraft III was a great game, but I struggle to find a reason to return to it in this form. Reforged has a laundry list of bugs, lack of polish, multiplayer options markedly amiss from the original offering, and uninspiring new assets

Reforged is an uninspiring remaster, but Warcraft 3 itself is still a great game nearly two decades later.

Warcraft III: Reforged is built upon such strong foundations, yet manages to be somewhat unremarkable in 2020, mired by technical hiccups and Blizzard's clumsy messaging.
