Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition Reviews
Built-in achievements, small storage size (around 5GB), and super fast load times make this much more than just a port — it’s an impressive “ultimate” edition, if you will. Bravo, Capcom.
Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition for Nintendo Switch is the best version of the game so far, but this piece of gaming history is beginning to show its age.

One of the best HD remakes you will find, with worthy additions to an already great game.
Devil May Cry 3 has aged remarkably well in almost every other area and the Switch port is the best version of this all-time classic.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition has learnt some new tricks on Nintendo Switch. It might be a bit creaky in places visually, but with the new Freestyle Mode spicing up its already brilliant action, this is the new definitive version of the game.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition on the Switch is without a doubt the best way to play Devil May Cry 3.
Devil May Cry 3 remains one of the very best action games ever made.
The Switch port of Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is a wonderful upgrade to an excellent action-adventure video game.
Character action games rely heavily on combat and style and Devil May Cry 3 manages to deliver just that in spades. While not being able to completely withstand the test of time, the addition of Free Style play to the Switch version gives the title a breath of fresh air, offering veterans of the series a fresh take on the classic while making it even more accessible to newcomers.
Devil May Cry 3: Special Edition for the Switch is the definitive version of arguably the best Devil May Cry game. Freestyle mode is a revelation that makes a great game even better, and the rest of the port is similarly top-notch. If you're a fan of the game or the franchise, then DMC3 for the Switch is absolutely worth the money. The party is really getting started now.
An unexpectedly enhanced version of one of the best action games of the PS2 era, which even now offers better and deeper combat than most modern rivals.
It's hard to believe that a 3D action game as supremely enjoyable as Devil May Cry 3 released 15 years ago. It's a modern masterpiece that genre fans need to play even if they already have dozens of times before.
One of the better re-releases in recent memory.
Devil May Cry 3 may be getting on a bit 15 years later but it nonetheless remains one of the most technically hardcore action games out there, and devout devil hunters will make great use of the additional features for the Switch port.
Simply put, Devil May Cry 3 is not just an outstanding port, but an utterly essential Switch game.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition is a fun experience for only those used to the Devil May Cry series.
DMC3 is still a very good Beat'em Up, and adds a coop'rative mode to the Switch Version, but the remaster is very, very lazy.

Devil May Cry 3 is a must-play if you’re already a fan of Capcom’s combo-based action series or if you’re new to the genre. The handheld and Joy-Con controls may not be ideal for prolonged periods of play or players with difficulty mashing buttons, but you’ll still be treated to one of the best and most stylish action games currently available on the Switch.
Devil May Cry 3 Special Edition for Nintendo Switch is the best version of the cult game, which has become more fun due to new features and interesting co-op. Instant access to all weapons and quick switching of styles pleasantly updated the outdated combat system, allowing you to create more spectacular combos, and the cooperative play of the "Blood Palace" allowed this mode to shine with new colors. It is a pity that the developers did not add online and correct some old roughness, such as the missing effect of translucent hair of the characters and some pre-recorded scenes in low resolution. Otherwise, this is a great adaptation that will definitely please fans of the genre.

While Devil May Cry 3 is starting to show its age, it still holds its title as one of the best character action games ever made. The new additions add a refreshing twist on this classic game, while still retaining its difficulty and depth. And who knows, after so many re-releases and playthroughs, maybe people will notice how meaningful and well told the story is.
