Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix Reviews
Longtime fans of Vocaloid music will likely enjoy Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix+ for its nostalgic song list and updated character models, but this game isn't a good choice for casual PC gamers. Those without a good Steam Controller option and powerful hardware will want to skip the title and wait for a possible console release at a future date or try the original version on the Nintendo Switch instead. However, for serious PC gamers who enjoy a fun rhythm game rooted in 2000s J-Pop, Hatsune Miku Project Diva Mega Mix+ could be a great addition to player libraries. Hopefully, patches to improve keyboard controls and framerate issues will be released to help create a more intuitive experience, improving overall accessibility for any Vocaloid fan wanting to give the game a try.
What should’ve been the perfect entry for both Hatsune Miku fans and newcomers alike turns into a misstep in the Project DIVA Series. Mega Mix+ sure is a great game with an amazing amount of content, but the PC issues like stuttering and odd frame drops takes out the fun on completing most songs above “hard”.

Mega Mix will likely be a fun entry for those newer to the series, but for veterans, it really doesn’t have much to offer. Stick to Future Tone instead.
Mega Mix is a solid celebration of ten years of Hatsune Miku.
Future Tone players can pass on this, but this still comes highly recommended to Switch owners and anyone desperate for portable Miku. Just be sure to wait and buy at a discount.
Mega Mix offers a lot for Switch owners to enjoy, even if the title doesn't live up to the standard the series has set for itself
I won’t say this is a bad release, had it predated Future Tone it would probably be widely considered great, it just came at the wrong time and has some limitations.
Project Diva Mega Mix is a good entry door for Switch players. But if you already own Future Tone, pass your way.

Project Diva Mega Mix is a welcome return to Nintendo's portable platform for the rhythm game series. While it doesn't scale well to portable and its Joy-Con motion control mode is a dud, the main mode remains as brutally satisfying as ever. Whether a diehard Miku fan or just a rhythm game enthusiast, Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Mega Mix is yet another great entry in the series.
It delivers exactly what it promises... And that's it. We would expect more game modes and variety in a "mega mix edition". Anyway, if you just want to see Miku dancing in every possible fashion, you'll be satisfied.

Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix isn't as fully featured as some previous games (Future Tone on PS4 had over 200 songs a few years back), but the DNA is still decidedly Miku.
For the first time Miku makes the leap to Switch, and adds a new way to play, in addition to having the usual one with countless known songs from the Vocaloids.

Hatsune Miku may have been around for a good chunk of time yet Project DIVA Mega Mix doesn't really push any boundaries. It's still a very fun rhythm game so whether you're a fan of the genre or the Vocaloid herself, it's definitely worth checking out.
For long-time fans of Miku, those who just want to dive into their favorite songs and challenge themselves, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix+ is a dream. The pure variety of songs available and the series’ trademark gameplay will keep them busy for a long time, and that’s not even accounting for the options that the series being available on PC will provide to the community. While new players may find the lack of gameplay modes a bit off-putting, smart choices like challenge time should help them ease their way into the series’ style if they stick with it.
It’s a great rhythm title with a shocking amount of content, both in terms of cosmetics and songs of all genres. I also did not expect for it to be that challenging. Sure, a bit of its difficulty stemmed from the sheer amount of visual noise onscreen, but its gameplay did not pull any punches.
Mega Mix makes a dynamic splash onto the Nintendo Switch by providing colorful rhythm gaming. With plenty of returning content and a handful of new surprises like Mix Mode, the game is a familiar and competent package for newcomers and veterans.
Despite nitpicks with tracklist choice, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix is a great way to kick off the franchise on the Switch. The game runs smooth in handheld mode, which has always been my preferred way to play, and looks fantastic. There are plenty of Modules to unlock and lots of tracks to master on the various difficulties. If you’re a fan of the franchise and have been looking for a solid handheld offering, jump on this right away. If this is your first foray into the Project Diva franchise I can think of no better place to start than here. Just don’t blame me when you when you seek out Vocaloid music for the next 100 years!

With over a hundred songs to play through, multiple difficulties to tackle, a whole new way to play the game, and an assortment of unlockable costumes to earn, there’s PLENTY to keep you singing with the vocaloid star for some time. Whether you’re a fan of Hatsune Miku or just enjoy the rhythm-based genre, Hatsune Miku: Project DIVA Mega Mix is guaranteed to offer hours upon hours of glitzy singing fun.
