Baldur's Gate 3 Reviews
Baldur's Gate 3 breaks through the recent dirth of huge narrative RPGs to deliver something incredible. It's an outstanding achievement that will stand the test of time even as we move into the next generation of gaming. It's a masterpiece in both design and implementation, with only some pervasive performance issues and gameplay bugs to sometimes drag the experience down. Still, the narrative, graphic design, voice performances, and tactical gameplay do a lot to bring the experience back up to amazing.
Baldur's Gate 3 is a masterclass in table-top-inspired CRPGs, rewarding imagination above all in a gorgeous presentation that brings the Forgotten Realms to life. Larian Studios' ambitious scope has birthed one of the most reactive worlds in all of gaming, where player choices govern both landmark events and smaller romantic flings with its delectable cast of companions. Through a nicely woven story that best represents its characters' misery and a combat style benefitted by unorthodox tactics, it has rightfully alarmed the larger AAA games industry to do better. Sure, there are some technical shortcomings in the final act, but that doesn't diminish its status as my Game of the Year so far. Baldur's Gate 3 is a certified must-play title and I can't wait to start my second playthrough — preferably as a monk Dark Urge, given how untimely and goofy his quotes are.
If you are looking for a layered and nuanced game you can sink your time into and not feel like you’ve wasted a second, this is it.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is one of those cases that makes me think with my heart and not my mind. And my heart tells me to start this adventure again with a new character, re-experience the story, get to know my companions and savor every moment. Again and again.

Yet, amidst this landscape, Baldur's Gate 3 emerges as a game that boldly revitalizes CRPG (Computer Role-Playing Game) principles on a AAA scale, marked by a notable emphasis on efficiency in development. The game significantly succeeds in embodying the quintessential qualities one would expect from this genre. This encompasses the player's unfettered autonomy, a rich tapestry of gameplay styles and facets, and an intricate narrative replete with profound, multifaceted choices that wield substantial influence.

Despite a few hiccups, Baldur's Gate 3 remains the finest example of its genre available today.
Larian Studios has made something truly incredible, and even as the studio continues to fine-tune and polish with post-launch patches, Baldur’s Gate 3 feels like something absolutely worth playing now, and even more in the future. Baldur’s Gate 3 is a legendary RPG, and one that anyone with a love of storytelling, strategizing, or just thirsty for a few fantasy companions should take the time to experience.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is a great adventure that's fun to be in. I adore this game despite all the potential pitfalls. Its freedom and possibilities really stand out – I think about the only game that could rival this RPG would be Fallout: New Vegas.
Baldur's Gate III is not entirely without flaws, and they tend to become more noticeable in the game's last act (especially when it comes down to optimization), but none of that change the fact that we are dealing with a CRPG masterpiece and Larian's crowning achievement after an already long and quite successful career. Weather you are a returning fan or a new one, there is almost no reason to not give this one a go, if you are passionate about computer role-playing games.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a staggering CRPG with a level of player freedom that make its possibilities feel endless.
Absolutely highly recommend. If you were a fan of the originals… jump in without fear of being disappointed. If you are new to CRPGs, grab a copy and start here… it's layered but you can explore at your own pace and learn as you go… easy to start, not too tricky to "master"… or at least manage.
Baldur's Gate III already offers an unearthly amount of content and freedom. However, that doesn't change the fact that I and many other players would love to see the aforementioned sequel or DLC. Will that be the case? Time will tell, although the main factor determining the future of the brand will be, as usual, gamers' wallets. I, however, have nothing left to do but to recommend Baldur's Gate III to everyone. Fans of tabletop RPGs will feel like they're in paradise. And all the rest? They will experience one of the best games of the genre ever.

Baldur’s Gate 3 is the perfect example of what a talented, passionate team who takes the time to listen to community feedback is capable of doing in gaming. They made all the right choices where it counted by getting the right people for the job, from the storytellers, actors, technical developers, and more. What we’re left with is a memorable gaming experience that provides more value than many games which had a lot more money thrown at them, and the community has almost universally shown their appreciation for that. There isn’t much more to say other than more of the same, please.
None of this even remotely takes away from the fact that anyone interested in Baldur’s Gate 3 should buy this and buy this now. To take nothing away from the excellent RPGs that have come out recently, I have waited over a decade for this type of crunchy, immaculately written, tactical fantasy RPG to be combined with the type of AAA presentation that Larian has achieved here. It’s a landmark title in the genre in the same way that Baldur’s Gate 1 and 2 were decades ago and will be remembered for years to come as the masterpiece that it is.
Baldur's Gate 3 is everything you could wish for if you love Dungeons and Dragons or if you've ever wanted to play but, unfortunately, can't find a party to play with. The possibilities are practically endless, and although within logical conceptual limits as a video game, the experience proposed by Larian Studios is an incredibly replayable and unique. It is definitely an RPG experience as you will hardly find again on console.

PS5 receives a superb port of Baldur's Gate 3, in which no content has been sacrificed and the technical cuts are negligible, unless you have played it before on a high-end PC. Of course, the complaint is that you can only play with the controller: the mouse and keyboard management has been removed on PS5, unlike the ports of other games.

Despite its late-game flaws, Baldur's Gate 3 is truly special.
We praised Larian a lot for Divinity: Original Sin 2, but Baldur's Gate 3 is without a doubt their masterpiece. It's an experience that deserves its name in every sense and trilogizes the Baldur's Gate saga in a spectacular way. If it makes up for its shortcomings with an Enhanced Edition, we can easily call it one of the best games of the 2000s.

Baldur's Gate 3 is a landmark achievement for CRPGs and gaming at large. The only thing more staggering than its immense scope and density of systems is the quality in which it's all presented. Its unwavering flexibility and accommodation for player choice is intoxicating, and the replay value on offer here will no doubt cement Baldur's Gate 3 as a timeless and regularly revisited masterpiece. For a game as rich and complex as this, it also works surprisingly well on console.
Baldur's Gate 3 is a masterpiece that captures the magic of classic role-playing games and sets new standards in terms of freedom.
