Bleeding Edge has all the components in place to be a genuinely entertaining multiplayer mainstay, there just needs to be more of it. With only a couple of maps and modes, and far too few skins and emotes, Ninja Theory will need to roll out more content to keep players engaged.

It is a game that comes very late to the genre that it tries to assault, but at the same time it gives it a certain originality by creating a work in which the combat mechanics are based on hack and slash and not on the simple skills of a regular hero shooter (although there are also and they are key, of course).

Bleeding Edge is a solid hero brawler that currently lacks content badly. While the foundations of this hack-and-slash arena brawler are strong and the roster of misfit circus rejects is absolutely stellar, there aren't enough reasons to play beyond the first few hours. Still, every match of Bleeding Edge I've played has been enjoyable and fiercely competitive, and if they can retain their player base I'll happily return to Ninja Theory's latest chaotic playground.

Bleeding Edge is definitely worthy of your time – hopefully more so in the coming months when fresh content is added.

Bleeding Edge is an interesting combination of features taken from Overwatch, MOBAs and character action games, featuring a solid character roster, a good map selection and two plays modes that feel varied enough. The limited amount of content and the lack of a ranked mode, however, make it difficult to recommend the game as a stand-alone purchase as of now. As an Xbox Game Pass game, however, Bleeding Edge works much better, as players can wait for new content to drop without having to spend money just to get the game.

For the first few hours Bleeding Edge is an absolute blast to play and well worth a look if you have Xbox Game Pass. But there's not enough depth to make it last long-term, at the moment.

Bleeding Edge is a fun game, but one that lacks any real content and depth to keep players interested for the long-term. You'll be entertained for a few hours, for sure, but if you're looking for a multiplayer experience to invest in over the coming months, you might want to look elsewhere.

Bleeding Edge has a lot of charm and fun to offer, but doesn't do a great job making a case for itself over other games in the genre; which may hurt it in the long run.

Melee weapon combat system feels good and intense. Beside that, the number of heroes makes the game relatively content light, and the PvP matchmaking is problomatic and frustrating.

With memorable characters and fast-paced combat, Ninja Theory's new game Bleeding Edge is a promising new entry in its genre. The only question is: will it hold up against the fierce competition, or fall short of the mark set by others?

Bleeding Edge has a ton of potential, largely thanks to its fun and well-designed combat, colorful style and characters, and nicely-crafted levels and goals that emphasize the need for teamwork and strategy.

With situations like that, there's certainly fun to be had in Bleeding Edge. The gameplay is solid, and I enjoyed my time with the title. It just needs more of ... everything: characters, game modes, maps, and skins. Microsoft and/or Ninja Theory certainly seem to be aware of this shortcoming, if the game's price tag is any indication. That doesn't change the fact that the game desperately needs more content if it wants to keep its audience; otherwise, Bleeding Edge's matches might not be so bloody in the very near future.

Bleeding Edge is a complex and fun take on the Hero-Based genre. The combat in this game is the main attraction, the way you have to make a combo out of your attacks and abilities makes fighting enemies a blast. The maps design is great (although the size of some maps is an issue) and the heroes have incredible and detailed design and their unique and innovative abilities make the game more appealing and fun. Both visually and design-wise, the game looks great and Ninja Theory should definitely thank their design team. Unfortunately, though, Bleeding Edge lacks content, The quantity of the maps are low and right now there is only one Quick Play mode for playing. Also, there are some balancing issues between Support and Core heroes which should get addressed and some of the maps are too big for a 4v4. Overall, if Ninja Theory decides to continue supporting this game, Bleeding Edge could become one of those hot multiplayer games that everybody plays

Bleeding Edge has the typical multiplayer fun that's built-in by default. Wide range of playable characters allow the gamers to spend plenty of time in theory-crafting their strategies. On the other hand, the depth of the lore doesn't really attach those characters to the back story as much. While the game relies on gathering with other players to battle, it's also the only content worth mentioning as many of the other aspects lack in standing out.

Bleeding Edge is a surprisingly enjoyable, fun and originally styled online experience. Although its approach may initially seem too simplistic in the formula, in reality the game of Ninja Theory hides a deep and well-kept gameplay that, to be mastered, needs time and training.
