Predator: Hunting Grounds looks and sounds like Predator, but lacks the soul of the 1987 classic film. For being one of the most iconic hunters in the galaxy, the Predator feels weak compared to the vastly overpowered Fireteam. I never felt terrified of the Predator, and I think that's Hunting Grounds' most glaring issue. I'm invested enough in the Predator franchise to see what Illfonic has up their sleeves in terms of additional content for the game, but I find it hard to recommend to those who are looking for the ultimate Predator fantasy.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is a fantastic game to enjoy whenever you're in the mood for some chaotic and overly violent online multiplayer action. With that being said, playing it in long sessions will make the experience wear thin sooner rather than later.

Predator: Hunting Grounds wouldn't look too out of place amongst the tacked-on multiplayer modes of the PS3 generation. It offers a handful of hours packed with enjoyment but quickly comes apart at the seams as you realise how lacking in content it really is. While playing as the Predator and a good amount of customisation may be its saving graces, this is an experience you can safely skip.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is a great addition to the multiplayer shooter genre, with plenty of fun to be had regardless of which side you choose to play.

A clever premise can't meet the expectations of its ever-evolving namesake. The end result: a most tedious and ugly game.

Few contents compared to the competition. Various structural, as well as technical, issues. Fun only in the short term, and only with the right company.

Predator: Hunting Grounds has a lot of charm and respects the source material. However, it is a flawed experience, and can be frustrating to play at times. Regardless of those flaws, I can still see myself returning especially to play as the Predator.

There's a lot to like in Predator: Hunting Grounds. It's faithful to its source material, hella fun and addicting. However it lacks the content and technical punishment to be a must have at its launch.

Predator: Hunting Grounds offers brief moments of blockbuster action, but ultimately underwhelms more than it excites.

Hunting Grounds sets the table for thrilling cat-and-mouse battles or embarrassing farces; the quality of each match is ultimately up to players. When everyone's dialed into their roles, it's a lot of fun

Predator: Hunting Grounds is a decent multiplayer romp with just enough content and ideas to make it worthwhile. It's a huge improvement over Ifflonic's last game, Dead Alliance, and one that's definitely pumped up thanks to having a popular license to lean on.

I’ve been enjoying my time with Predator: Hunting Grounds but it leaves plenty of room for skepticism. For a $40 product it really lacks content right now and it needs further improvements in some key areas to be great. That said you can tell a lot of care went into making sure the Predator played great and that the game felt like the original movie. If you can get a good group together you can have a lot of fun with this one.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is a lot of fun to play, but it does have many technical problems that really drag it down.

Wether you're the hunter or the prey, Predator: Hunting Grounds is a fun asymmetrical game that honors the legacy of the Predator franchise. Sadly, technical problems and lack of content hurts the overall sense of enjoyment.

A predictably grim spin on a legendary action license that really deserves better, Predator: Hunting Grounds is unworthy prey.

Easily the most authentic Predator game ever made but also a paper-thin multiplayer game that offers far too little content and variety for its asking price.

The game occasionally creates wild, stupid situations that feel a lot like an 80s action movie, but that’s not enough to sustain a multiplayer game for a long period of time.

There is a shell of a good game in Predator: Hunting Grounds, but severe balancing issues, poor console performance, and general clunkiness hold it back from standing shoulder to shoulder with other solid 4v1 multiplayer games—even the one its developer has made before. While its Predator callbacks are solid, for fans looking for another good Predator game, there's not one to be found here. At least not yet.

Predator: Hunting Grounds is a 4v1 asymmetrical multiplayer game that pits a fireteam against the deadly Predator. Gameplay is tense and enjoyable on both ends, but if you want to play as the Predator, then queue times are currently much longer. It's best played in bursts of a few hours at most.
