As far as remakes go, Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 absolutely hits the mark with what it was trying to accomplish. The controls are tight and a great evolution of past games, and it plays incredibly smoothly thanks to some sacrifices made on the visual front. Sure, it’ll look better on other consoles, but the Switch is the only console you’ll be able to actually bring to the skatepark with you. The soundtrack still bangs, even with the new additions, and the roster’s attention to inclusivity with its additions is a welcome change

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is pure nostalgia. A great combination of mechanics and a technical department up to date that make a great, top notch game.

This was a fantastic trip down memory lane and playing some of the iconic skate parks like ‘School’ and listening to the original soundtrack sounding and looking even better on my Xbox One X and TV system of 2020 rather than the CRT TV and PlayStation One from 2001 and yeah, the value of this is certainly not lost on me!

The amount of levels in the games is pretty nice, but if you feel like you want to take the game to the next level, you can also make your own skate park or go online and play a custom made park by someone else. I found it to be crazy that the game has not been out in the wild very long but there are some incredibly fun (and detailed) parks already available made by people with much more creativity than myself.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 proves that video games aren't really getting much better than what was around at the turn of the millennium. In fact, the amount of fun to be had here makes most modern games feel sterile and unstimulating in comparison.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is one of the best examples of a video game remake. Not only has Vicarious Visions retained what made the games so well-crafted to begin with, but it has reminded us why a series with such refined gameplay should not just be left in the past. Though its character creation and multiplayer could do with some more attention, the addictive gameplay, stunning graphics and pitch-perfect sound ensure that the series has been given a new life. I cannot wait to see where it will be taken next, be it a remake of Pro Skater 3 and 4, or an entirely new entry – either way, I’ll be there. Welcome back, Birdman.

A perfect blend of authenticity mixed with modern-day quality of life enhancements. Joyous, slick, hi-score gaming that looks nice too.

A nostalgic trip made right the frenetic action of this skating game is top notch. The Soundtrack is spectacular as it was all those years ago, although by today standards it feels a tad short is pure joy to ride your skateboard.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is the realization of a dream that has pervaded the minds of fans for a long, too long, time. Through the inclusion of gameplay features from the third and fourth chapters, Vicarious Visions has restored vigor to the classic recipe and has given players valid reasons to "stay" even after completing the Skate Tours.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 is a love letter to the original games thanks to the easy to pick-up, hard to master gameplay. With a great deal of customization to boot and multiple multiplayer options, there is a ton of time to be spent here for a great price. Graphics could've been better at times, but that almost doesn't even matter because you'll be way more focused on the phenomenal soundtrack.

Tony Hawk´s Pro Skater 1+2 does everything right. The new polished stages and challenges are great, the soundtrack is still amazing and even got some good new additions in it including some well known skaters to choose from. The new additions to the game are a great change to the original formula which makes the game a must buy for oldschool fans. Some new maps or a twist on the time limit during the campaign would have been nice but besides that you can't go wrong as fan of the old games with this one.

Overall, Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2+1 game can be viewed as one of the best and least objectionable sports games of 2020. A title that, after a few years, once again put Tony Hawk's franchise name on the tongues.

Remaking games is not easy, but once again, Activision and Vicarious Visions deliver a great experience. Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 fell as good as its original versions, but at the same time, they adopt some things that the franchise learned along the way. Is nice to see that such a beloved series came back in such a good way.

At its $40 price point, this is a great value for anyone wanting to dip a toe into the skateboard game genre. If you're an old hand, it won't disappoint. If you're brand new, get ready to fall in love. With the addition of the skate park editor, this is truly an infinite skating machine.

Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1+2 moves between the old and new like fish on water. It offers the same control, the iconic levels and the gameplay we used to love, but with a new and shiny body, that offers more options than ever. It's not perfect, but it's the skate game that lots of us were expecting.
