The effort put into remaking this game is remarkable, and the outcome is far more than I could have ever hoped for. It contains a plethora of content that will keep you occupied for months. Even if you finish collecting all in-game items, you can always relax with your friends in an online skating session.
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 is a love letter to Tony Hawk, the skaters, their fans, and the people who are kids at heart all over the world. Whether you are nostalgia driven or a new fan entirely, you would be a fool to miss out on this masterpiece.
This was a fantastic trip down memory lane and playing some of the iconic skate parks like ‘School’ and listening to the original soundtrack sounding and looking even better on my Xbox One X and TV system of 2020 rather than the CRT TV and PlayStation One from 2001 and yeah, the value of this is certainly not lost on me!
Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1+2 does everything a remake should do: improve on every aspect of the original release and set itself as the new standard.
This is the rebirth for Tony Hawk Pro Skater we’ve long waited for. Just as the N-Sane Trilogy was for Crash Bandicoot and Reignited was for Spyro, this is a lovingly built, high-quality remake that will hopefully lead to newer instalments in the years to come. Welcome back, Mr Hawk, You, most definitely, have still got it.

I honestly challenge anyone who liked the original games not to enjoy this remaster. It met my expectations in every way and then exceeded them by being an even better game than I remember. Sure, it’s frustrating at times, but that’s because I sometimes fall below the required skill for the really high combos. The game is unforgiving, but it makes you want to get better and keeps you coming back. This is a must-play.
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 is simply everything fans have asked for for years. It does not bring innovations, but it has remained true to its origins and has brought a worthy restart to one of the most beloved franchises in gaming history.

If you’re still on the fence about getting this game, know it comes with local 2 player split screen sessions. Not that many games come bundled in with local multiplayer anymore. This small detail gives more value to the experience, especially in the current year of 2020. This game just keeps on giving.
Activision knocks another remaster out of the park with Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 1 + 2, an incredible re-release for the twentieth anniversary.
Vicarious Visions have already earned their laurels with the Crash Bandicoot remake. The developers were also able to transfer this love of detail 1:1 to the Tony Hawk franchise. The enthusiasm and intuition with which the Americans have approached this project is remarkable. A lot of things feel exactly the way you remember them, even though they weren't like that at all back then - memory plays tricks on you. Everything simply fits together.
