Clubhouse Games is not the best solo experience, as playing against CPUs can often feel one-sided in certain games or simply lacking that slow, methodical strategy one gets from playing against a real person instead of a fast-thinking computer.

The Switch helps bring some new life to these classic tabletop games.
As with any compilation, some of the games in 51 Worldwide Games are better than others, but great multiplayer and that signature Nintendo design elevate this from a novelty to a truly entertaining little distraction that has the potential to be the focus of many a games night, road trip or free evening curled up on the couch.
Every bit of felt or wood is worth admiring here, as are the cards and pieces that call them home.

While hardly the most exciting package, Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics is big on quantity. Unfortunately, the quality can't always match, with multiplayer restrictions and online lag being among the most sizable concerns. Solo Players probably won't find this one long-lasting, but families will fare better. Even if this won't be your first choice for gatherings, a decent time should still ensue.
Clubhouse Games: 51 Worldwide Classics is a solid compilation of some fantastic games. No, not all of them are winners, but the vast majority are engaging simple versions of the best tabletop games around. Though the single-player experience might be slightly lacking, Clubhouse Games is undoubtedly one of the best local multiplayer experiences on the Switch.

There’s something here for players of all ages, with the diverse selection offering elements of strategy, action, quick-thinking and, most importantly, fun. There are a few duds in the mix and the multiplayer elements are mostly limited to just two players, but they’re minor gripes in what is otherwise a fantastic and meaty collection of games. There’s simply no better way to re-visit some of the world’s favourite classic games than with 51 Worldwide Games.
