Borderlands 2 Reviews
Compared to the dull, empty-eyed stoicism of so many triple-A games, it's still a welcome blast of idiot humour, too.
Stellar writing and a host of small improvements help Borderlands 2 stand tall on the shoulders of its predecessor.
Borderlands 2 is unquestionably a better game than Borderlands. The new emphasis on elemental weapons and dismemberment make for better combat scenarios, and the constant character improvement is a great push forward for players looking for long-term rewards. But sticking around for those payoffs requires more patience than I'd hoped.
Pick three friends, span the character classes, and get to killing. You won't be disappointed.
Borderlands 2 gives you more Borderlands. No more, no less.
If you are up for a good laugh while shooting things in the face, Borderlands 2 is a worthy game to add to your collection. Soon enough, you'll see numbers popping above people's heads in real life and will feel compelled to search every Porta Potty on the street for cash.
Borderlands 2 is one of the unmissable videogame experiences of the year.
Borderlands 2 is not perfect - but it is consistently excellent, and deserves praise both as a game and a great piece of progressive development.
Sequel keeps the appeal of the original while making improvements at the margins.
If you liked Borderlands, you’ll love Borderlands 2. If you missed out on the original, don’t make that same mistake twice.
If you loved your time in Pandora the first time around, you'll absolutely love Borderlands 2.
Gearbox has fleshed out the overall character of the universe from the first Borderlands and come up with a winner
While it is amazing that all of this content has been squeezed down to a portable version on the Vita, it has lost a lot of its luster in the transition. There is still a ton of fun to be had here, but this is far from what has come to be expected from a Borderlands experience and nothing near the quality on either the consoles or the PC.
Borderlands 2 is what most people expected. More of the same, but better.
Borderlands 2 is a denser, richer version of it's predecessor, never compromising on the gunplay that made the series worthy of a sequel.
Nothing short of great and fun.
Borderlands 2 is easily the most replay value you’re going to get out of a game that isn’t an MMO.
Borderlands 2 goes further than its predecessor in fun, humor, and scope, and if you value exploration and leveling up as much as shooting people, this is the perfect game for you.
All in all, Borderlands 2 is fantastic fun.
It definitely has problems, but Borderlands 2 is still mighty fun
