EA Sports UFC 4 comes with a good revamped Career Mode and some new gameplay futures, however, the game lacks any truly new innovation alongside disappointing graphics loaded with microtransactions. huge similarity with UFC 3 that alot of times you’d think it’s just a big update for $60.

Overall, UFC4 is a fun, engaging, and immersive fighting game for new and returning players alike. It has all the right ingredients for players to pile up their game time for hundreds of hours, in the next couple of years at least.

For all my time playing UFC 4, I had never once gotten bored of its intense matches. Unlike other fighting games where I stick to my favorite combos and rush the fight, UFC 4 pushes me to slowly adapt to a different character’s fighting style and start thinking of strategies that last in the long run. There is a good level of adrenaline rushing through my veins every time one of my strategies pays off.

UFC 4 takes a huge leap for EA Sports, and is really one of the best sport games you can play at the moment. The evolution of the formula from UFC 3, shifting it more to an arcade-y “simulation” experience makes the fighting that much more satisfying. The overhauled career mode is excellent too; there is just something about UFC 4 that is positively addictive and that we cannot recommend enough.

EA Sports UFC 4 is a generally great follow-up to the previous entry, but one that doesn’t necessarily have a whole lot of changes to it.

EA Sports have taken the formula of the previous games and made subtle improvements. Career mode is great fun, even if it does lose some steam by the end. The new KO mode allows players who don’t want as technical a battle to stand and bang, while online will retain a base of players until the inevitable UFC 5. Marry all this up with big improvements to the ground game and you have not only the best UFC game to date, but one of my favourite fighting games on PlayStation 4.

Fighting in the octagon never felt so good. “UFC 4” delivers satisfying MMA-Gameplay with some state-of-the-art graphics and presention. Along with a well designed career and a variation of online-modes, “UFC 4” is the total package when it comes to fighting-sims.

EA Sports UFC 4 keeps all the good features of the successful previous episode, further improving the Campaign mode and adding some welcome changes to the combat system. It still needs some refinements especially regarding the ground game and transitions management, but it undoubtedly remains the best fighting sports game around.

Although it doesn’t offer many game-changing new features, EA Sport’s UFC 4 is without question the most comprehensive release in EA Vancouver’s MMA franchise. Setting aside some issues with the career mode, it offers a solid update to UFC 3, with smoother combat, a more accessible entry point for new players and the most complete roster of fighters yet.

We recommend the game for only 5 points. It is an average title that just shows greed for money. The love for fans and the brand has probably completely disappeared.

In the end it is what it is. Frankly its the only official and unofficial MMA title in the market so there's no competition or something else to compare. And for a game that offers that much but doesn't yet quite nail the details you'll get your UFC action you need properly. Just so you know it could be a lot better than the package we get.

It’s tiiiiiiime, to take a look at UFC 4 from EA Sports. As a longtime fan of sports games, it was an honour to be able to review of copy of UFC 4. I put a lot of hours into UFC 4, and sadly never got a chance to play the third instalment but was all too eager to dive in again. I understand that sports games are not for everybody, possibly more so than any other genre out there. Yet, they do have a depth and a pull, but it is unlike many other titles.

It gest rid of some modes from it’s previous iteration, but this MMA simulator shines in the ring, with a Deep career mode and some great additions like the arcadey KO mode. Although some important fighters are missing.

UFC 4 is the best MMA game to date, but that's partly because of a lack of competition from other developers. As is to be expected from a game that's part of a series, EA doesn't invent the wheel but improves gradually on its own formula. The evolution points, career mode, clinch possibilities and some other new features are nice, but is it enough to justify its price tag? We doubt it.

Overall if you're a veteran of the series, UFC 4 makes some adjustments you've been asking for and has some new features to dive into. If you're a beginner you've got a long climb ahead of you, but it's worth the grind. The game doesn't break new ground, but it seems to have refined what was already there.

EA Sports UFC 4 attempts to right the wrongs of past entries and succeeds in the process. This sequel’s career mode is a far more enjoyable endeavor now that the Fighter Evolution and relationship systems have been added to its proceedings.

Equipped with its revamped combat system, new animations and expanded career mode, UFC 4 is better than its predecessor in all of its most important aspects, even if the low amount of game modes limits the success the game as a whole has.

Even after achieving "G.O.A.T." status, I have a hard time peeling away from UFC 4. After hours and hours of play, I still feel like there's a lot more to learn about the fighting systems and all the moves that can branch out from each ground position. It's addicting to tinker around with it or map out a new career for another created fighter, messing around with building (or burning) bridges with either fighters to see how his or her path maps out. Whether you want a little action distraction or want to get lost in what the MMA world has to offer, UFC 4 has it. Just remember to apologize to your training partners in advance.
