Creaks Reviews
You can clearly see that Amanita Design spend way more resources and time on Creaks, but the move from classic point-n-click gameplay was not very smooth. The game is massive and is undoubtedly gorgeous, but sometimes it feels like it's drags on for way too long and the gameplay becomes quite repetitive. The feeling of true excitement that you get for solving a head scratching puzzle is also nowhere to be seen. But all of that means very little when you take Creaks for what it is, especially if you look at it with a fresh pair of eyes.

Creak is probably not the new classic one would expect from this talented studio. Nonetheless, the title combines the most important strengths of Amanita Design and ensures a few hours of entertainment.

Amanita Design has once again delivered the magic previously seen in the like of Machinarium. Of course the main praise for Creaks comes from the stunningly gorgeous design, but behind that there's some amazing puzzles and a story that can keep you interested right up to the end. Creaks are a must play for everyone that loves puzzle games.

Familiar puzzle-platform staples are polished to a high sheen in Creaks. It might not break new ground in the genre, but no-one can tell a wordless story quite like Amanita Design.
Amanita Design has moved away from their usual adventure style to build one awesome puzzle-platformer. Thanks to a near perfect learning curve, painted detours, and a stunning visual and musical package, Creaks is a must for fans of the studio and puzzle aficionados alike.
Creaks is a nice and inventive puzzle game from Amanita Design. A handful of frustrating puzzles do little to detract from the world's stand out visual design and inventive use of music as a guide through the adventure. If you enjoy puzzle games then Creaks is well worth a go.
Creaks was an absolute joy to play. I could argue that it maybe lasted a little longer than it needed to but at no point did I stop having fun solving puzzles or being wowed by the beauty of the world. The story may not be one that lives long in the memory, but the characters left an impression on me and I highly recommend this game to any fans of puzzle platform games.
All in all, Creaks sets out to do a few things well and for the most part succeeds.
Its striking art style, logical puzzles, and unique atmosphere prove that Amanita Design can make more than just point-and-click adventures.
In just a few hours, Creaks puts together a worthwhile experience that might not push boundaries but is definitely worth a look for those craving a lovable puzzler.
This platformer has a eerie art style, it lacks variations in it’s short campaign. It plays on it’s strenghts that the gameplay is quite simple with some well thought puzles.

Fans of clever puzzles and masterfully told dark fairytales will delight in Creaks. Bursting with atmosphere and quirky style, Amanita's latest is full of clever puzzles and wordless storytelling. Its distinctive flavour won't be to everyone's taste, but this is an impeccably told fairytale that will also give your brain a thorough workout.
Creaks will definitely entertain puzzle platformer fans with plenty of well designed puzzles. However, if you're looking for an interesting world or god forbid characters, you can freely ignore it.

The Czech studio best known for point-and-click adventures Samorost and Machinarium brings its idiosyncratic genius to the puzzle platformer
A weird, wry and wholesome underground puzzler with spellbinding art direction and music.
I was taken back by how much I enjoyed Creaks. For a game I had never heard of, it quickly has become one of my favourite experiences of the year, It's beautiful, enjoyable and everything about it screams quality. Tracking down the paintings and completing their short stories is enjoyable. Along with a great and achievable trophy list, you have a short, amazing experience like no other in recent times. Enjoy people, games like this do not come around very often.
Creaks is a wonderfully atmospheric game that is ingenious in its execution, with a unique art style and excellent sound design. The sheer number of mind-teasing puzzles can be a little relentless at times, but the way that the game's systems evolve and interact with each other over time is incredibly impressive. If you have any love for brain teasers, you should probably consider picking it up.
