There is no real hidden shine to it, what you see is what you get. It’s not bad by any means, but the novelty of fighting crabs wore off fairly quickly, resulting in turning into a slightly janky, slightly frustrating brawler with no real sense of direction. Fight Crab will likely be a fun party game, but only time (and booze) will tell how much fun it will actually be.
Fight Crab is as dumb as it is absurd, and it’ll leave you with the biggest smile on your face as your chainsaw wielding crab goes into battle.
With fights that boil down to a pointless tussle with both crabs ending up face to face with the weapons and claws almost completely unable to fit, or get any purchase, I can’t recommend Fight Club on its combat. It has no story whatsoever, lots of painful menus and the craziest floatiest physics controls. But it’s certainly a spectacle.
Fight Crab doesn’t do much outside of its very shallow premise. It delivers on exactly what it promises and not much else. If you can acclimate yourself to the purposefully messy controls, there is some fun to be found within its short playtime. It is in no way going to be the next big fighter or take the tournament scene by storm, but it doesn’t need to nor is it trying to. It’s silly enough to be a brief distraction and sometimes that’s all a game needs to be.
The biggest issue I had with the game is that while fun; after about an hour or so I found my interest waning as no matter how many battles I won; a sense of repetition set in.
If you don’t expect too much from it, you’ll definitely get your money’s worth of entertainment. But the game is at times sloppy and unprofessional, even for an indie title, which does harm the experience to a noticeable degree.
Fight Crab is rough and ugly, but it’s charming nonetheless. It embraces the sheer fun of fighting games in a way that I hope we see more of in future.
Fight Crab is for a very, very niche audience and if that’s you, you’ll know it. This includes Twitch streamers and Youtubers looking for an easily emotive game, this is sure to be a content making machine.
Fight Crab is pure insanity straight out of the gate. The combat here is very weighted and the controls feel a bit clunky, but this game is just so much fun none of that matters. You tell me another game I can take a giant crab with a battle axe and beat down a foe? Or one I can have a crab throw a Kamihameha! Goku would be proud! In all seriousness, this one may not be for everyone, but if you want something unique that really is a ton of fun to play, you can’t go wrong here at the $19.99 price tag. I spent about 3 hours or so with it and I’ve unlocked a good bit of the crabs and weapons. I’ll dig into this a lot more when the online features go live, since I feel that will give this one a ton of replay value. Though I had a lot of fun just playing the single player stages over and over to see how crazy things could get. While this may not be something we ever thought would exist, I’m certainly glad that it does. We all need something lighthearted for a good laugh right now.
I have to be clear, Crab Fight is a complete mess, but a funny, random and full of crabs one. If you want a real fighting or party game this isn’t your correct option, but if you want to laugh for a few hours with a game and chill being a ninja crab, or a samurai crab or even a crab with fucking rockets in the fists, Crab Fight can be a really good choice.

Fight Crab may not be a traditional fighting game, but it’s definitely a game that gets by on its humor. Luckily, the crazy fights and over the top situations make this game very funny to play. It also comes with a rocking soundtrack that really jazzes you up for the fights. While the idea is pretty simple, the results provide a fun ice breaker game. Even if it’s not the best fighter out there, you’ll still want talk about Fight Crab when it’s all over.
Fight Crab is an impressively silly game with plenty of fun to offer that plays like a throwback to the Wild West days of the PlayStation 2.
EXCELLENT - Fight Crab is a fun and silly escape from the anxiety inducing year that is 2020. Do yourself a favor and pick it up, play with some friends, and have a crab flipping good time.
A fun little time, controls, and premise may be off putting for some but you can have quite a good time with this one if you let it.
The game isn’t bad. Is it a must-play? Definitely not. It’s an epic waste of time that I can easily recommend at a much cheaper price. This kind of game is really for a select cluster of intellectuals that don’t get crabby when it comes to trying new things.
When I first fired up Fight Crab, I expected a gimmicky brawler that would be good for a few laughs and quickly wear out its welcome. Lucky for me, that wasn’t the case at all. It’s a feature-rich romp with enough meat in its shell to satisfy the most discerning gilled gladiators. With a surprisingly lengthy campaign, addicting multiplayer, and plenty of customization options, it’s a game that will keep you coming back for more. If you’re fishing for a quirky, physics-based title in the spirit of Gangbeasts or Human: Fall Flat, then look no further. Fight Crab is an absolute keeper.
Overall, Fight Crab was a great experience. I believe that games that don’t take themselves too seriously are always needed to balance out heavier stories on the market. When they are as fun as Fight Crab, despite its flaws, I feel like I have a moment to reset my brain and relax to truly enjoy my passion. I recommend this game for those who enjoy 3D fighters but don’t feel like they need to be taken too seriously. This isn’t for serious competition, but for those who enjoy playing a game that you can laugh along with some friends when you get together.
Fight Crab is an absurd idea that should probably make for a bad video game – somehow though, it actually offers a mighty fun experience. Between the ridiculous battling, the quirky visuals and battlegrounds, and the addictive multiplayer modes, there really is plenty of enjoyment to be had from the game. Add to that some ‘easy to play but difficult to master’ gameplay mechanics and I’m sure plenty of gamers will be pleasantly surprised at what this silly game offers. I’ll admit that the single player experience isn’t as fun as playing with friends, but it still offers enough to warrant a playthrough; it’s a small issue in what is otherwise one of the most pleasant surprises I’ve had in a video game for a long time. If you can get some friends together (and maybe some beers), you’ll certainly have a blast battling each other in Fight Crab’s pincer-fuelled showdowns.
Fight Crab is one of those games you have to see to believe. But after the charm wears off, you'll be wondering why you're still playing it.
All of the crab fighters you can unlock are cute, and each feels unique and different. The weapons you can wield range from katana to chair, and it is a blast smashing your opponents with each one. You can play solo, couch co-op, or online. There are so many different arenas and battle modes, and once you find your crab-soulmate, you can level the bejeezus out of them to create your own ultimate crab fighter. Consider this one for your library if you’re a fan of fighting games, silliness, and/or crustaceans!
