From multiple points of view, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time feels like a game that shouldn’t work. Single-player, mascot-driven, no-nonsense platformers are rare nowadays.

No matter how you slice it, Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time marks the return of a gaming icon in a masterful way as it manages to take risks while offering familiar gameplay. I love its high degree of challenge and hope to one day achieve 100% completion which may be quite a tall order but the fact that I'm compelled to do so just goes to show how much fun this long-awaited sequel is.
More than a successful comeback, that brings many new ideas and is in no way inferior to the PS1 originals.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is as much a brand new title as it is closely entwined with the history of the PlayStation 1 trilogy. Long time fans will find something new to enjoy, while first time players stepping into the jorts of the orange chordata might fall prey to cheap deaths, time and time again.
A love message for Crash Bandicoot's old fans. The new look is great, but sometimes the difficulty need to be balanced.

A classic renewed while a good update it maintains the essence of the series, including it’s challenging later levels. While some of them take a long time to beat it is still one of the best platfomers of the past years.

Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a testament to old-school gaming and modern sensibilities. It balances the old and the new with grace, offering up a riot of radical changes while keeping the prime platforming appeal intact. All the while, the animation and art style propels the experience, making you feel like you’re watching your favorite cartoon. Ultimately, this all results in Crash’s most astonishing adventure yet.
Toys For Bob did a great job of taking the essence of Crash and adapting it to modern times. The result is a platformer who proudly carries the legacy of a legendary trilogy, but does enough to feel new and not be a simple homage to the past.

It was a long 22 year wait, but it has been worth it to finally get a true sequel to the Crash games of the past. It’s something I didn’t think we’d ever get, but I’m incredibly glad we did as Toys for Bob have nailed the look and feel of Crash Bandicoot. The fun is there, the challenge is definitely there and I hope it means positive things for the future of the Crash Bandicoot franchise in the coming years.
Overall, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is not only a fantastic nostalgia trip for a modern age and old-school hardcore fans, it’s also a great game on its own merit and proves that modern day platformers can easily co-exist in a market that’s saturated with shooters, battle royales, competitive online games, and RPGs, if done right.
Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time is an excellent free update for those who already owned the old-gen version of the title, with improved framerate and resolution and considering the low price it’s also the perfect opportunity to buy it for those who had only the next-gen consoles and hasn't had a chance to try the game on PS4 or Xbox One. The difficulty in classic mode is really hard and will give even the most experienced players a hard time while the modern one, with checkpoints, is suitable for all types of players and the amount of hours of fun guaranteed by this new chapter of Crash Bandicoot, between main and secondary levels, is really high.

The game is a superb time for veterans, and amazing for newcomers.
When it comes to original entries, Crash Bandicoot 4: It’s About Time is a triumphant return for the beloved marsupial. Using the remade trilogy’s excellent framework, this title offers a more varied, gratifying, and challenging gameplay. With an absurd number of challenges to overcome and a new shining art direction, we risk affirming this is Crash Bandicoot’s best entry yet. Before us is an excellent experience, one which is mandatory for fans of platforming games.
