Kill It With Fire is a simple concept by design, but that doesn’t make it bad. In fact, when you have 30 minutes spare it’s a perfect time killer. It really is as simple as it sounds, offering sadistic fun as you take out revenge on all those creepy crawlies you’ve screamed at over the years. The joy is in getting the upgrades and finding the different weapons you can use, then going back through the levels and getting those damn red jumping spiders back. If you’re after a pretty easy 100% and have some hatred towards spiders, this is unmissable. Otherwise, I’m not sure there’s enough here to make it a game that needs to be played.

Kill It With Fire is fun. While it's just about as bare bones as you can get and totally lacks the variety you'd want from a more long-term experience, there's just something about repeatedly murdering spiders in various ways that puts a smile on your face. For those looking for something simple to mess around with on occasion (or as a way to vent stress) you'd do well looking into this one, while those looking for something more full-fledged should probably keep moving down the line.

As addictive as Kill It With Fire is, the game is unfortunately quite short. The side quests and unlockables add to the game's length, but it can be completed in an evening. This however doesn't denounce the fact that Kill It With Fire is a good time. Though some hit detection issues can get in the way, when combining organic humour, tense stand offs, and ridiculous moments, the game serves as an excellent distraction that could be picked up and played by anyone.

A game with major technical problems, but which bring us what it promises: annihilating spiders in a variety of ways and without worrying about the destruction of the place.

Kill It With Fire offers an inventive proposal that is lost by not evolving the concept of the absurd that the game itself presents. It is a fun game, but it could be much more if it dared to go beyond a repeated idea over the few hours of the campaign.

Kill It With Fire is extremely limited and short. It is not very varied and the original idea, interesting as it may be, is hampered by the few stages, negligible difficulty and very low variation of the weapons. We know that not every production needs to be big, but it is clear that there is a lot of room for improvement here.

Kill It With Fire is a great title, whether you love those eight-legged arachnids or you’re terrified of them. Being able to burn them alive, hit them with frying pans or shoot them with a shotgun is both satisfying and fun. It’s also very easy to pick up and play, so it’s something that everyone can enjoy. Go on – finally get revenge on those spiders that have terrorised your home for so long.

One area in which the game is severely lacking is its options. There are the obvious audio settings in which you can alter music and sound levels, but there's no sign of crucial gameplay options. What this means is there is no way of altering the often excruciatingly slow aiming speed, and (rather sinfully) no option to invert the Y-axis. For a first-person experience, these should be in there as standard, and will be a deal-breaker for many. With this aside, however, Kill It With Fire is a fun little distraction that, while only a few hours in length, will keep you entertained with its myriad array of gameplay opportunities and selection of weapons.

Kill it with Fire is as absurd as it is fun, with the over-the-top methods of taking out the spiders making for a really enjoyable time. Sure, it can get a little repetitive in places, but it’s hard to complain too much when the game allows you to use the likes of flame throwers, RPGs, or even a lawn strimmer to annihilate the eight-legged creepy-crawlies (and maybe even destroy the room they inhabit in the process).

While possibly not an ideal game for arachnophobes, Kill It With Fire is what I’d consider a “wacky physics type game” done right, as long as you have patience with its quirks...

Kill It With Fire is an idea that hits really hard and leaves the player wondering what madness has hit him, but it doesn't take much and the storm passes away. The longevity of a work like this is obviously decided by the user, and with Kill It With Fire the desire to go on killing spiders will arise spontaneously in each of us. It isn’t a question of being afraid of spiders or feeling disgusted: we have an entire city as an arsenal at our disposal, and destroying our enemy in the most fun way possible is a moral duty.

It feels like this game was built purely because of the memes and to attract the streaming and YouTube crowds, just like Hello Neighbor and other tinyBuild games released in the past.

The biggest problem with the game is its length. If you storm through the eight main levels, you can breeze through in about five hours. With that said, there’s a selection of unlockables, mini-quests, and even a secret final level. It also offers the ability to replay past levels with new equipment. It’s a fleeting experience that stands out from the web with its humour, excellent sound design, and genuine laughs, frights, and thrills.

If you jump onto this thinking that you’ll get a massively deep experience with lots of lore, and a rich story presented on a glorious tapestry, you will be sorely disappointed. It’s a casual, silly and fun first-person fighting game that doesn’t take itself too seriously. You have the freedom to explore, destroy and kill anything in sight, so make the most of it. Do I recommend it? Yes, if you want to have a light-hearted game in your library, then buy it here! Spiders are running wild, grab your weapon of choice, find where they are hiding, and take their lives.

If spiders really, really piss you off, Kill it with Fire provides you with some cool and nasty ways to kill them and get yourself some satisfaction. If you don't mind them, don't mind this game either.

Whilst Kill it With Fire is a short experience, there's still enough here to justify the budget asking price. It's the kind of game that you're unlikely to return to after having completed it, but you probably already expected that. It might not have the legs to be an epic saga, but if you want a few hours of silly enjoyment then you could do a lot worse than picking up this game.

Kill It With Fire is a video game where the objective is kill spiders. The great variety of weapons and character upgrades will make the game so fun to play. Definitely, a very nice game to hang out alone or with friends, and have a laugh, while we kill spidersone after another.
