I'm no therapist, but I'm pretty sure that next to the word "catharsis" in the dictionary, there's a just a screenshot from Kill it with Fire.

It may be very short, but Kill It with Fire is creative and entertaining all the same. I'll never look at a frying pan the same way again.

The biggest problem with the game is its length. If you storm through the eight main levels, you can breeze through in about five hours. With that said, there’s a selection of unlockables, mini-quests, and even a secret final level. It also offers the ability to replay past levels with new equipment. It’s a fleeting experience that stands out from the web with its humour, excellent sound design, and genuine laughs, frights, and thrills.

A short and sweet distraction, Kill It With Fire is a quirky experiment in overreacting and pest control that will hold your attention for an hour or two.

One area in which the game is severely lacking is its options. There are the obvious audio settings in which you can alter music and sound levels, but there's no sign of crucial gameplay options. What this means is there is no way of altering the often excruciatingly slow aiming speed, and (rather sinfully) no option to invert the Y-axis. For a first-person experience, these should be in there as standard, and will be a deal-breaker for many. With this aside, however, Kill It With Fire is a fun little distraction that, while only a few hours in length, will keep you entertained with its myriad array of gameplay opportunities and selection of weapons.

A game with major technical problems, but which bring us what it promises: annihilating spiders in a variety of ways and without worrying about the destruction of the place.

It's not a terribly long game, but neither should it be. Kill It With Fire's short gameplay matches its light tone, and keeps the premise from wearing out its welcome. Despite its low stakes, it is high spirited, and about as complicated and deep as it needs to be. If you've ever wanted to upend furniture and mow down a hedge maze just to get a spider, you'll feel personally targeted by this one. It's revenge fantasy chicken soup for the arachnophobic soul.

Kill it with Fire serves up a delightful arachnid squishing dish with a side of explosions and mayhem. At the time of the review, however, it was beset by less desirable bugs – not altogether game breaking, but frustrating nonetheless. Otherwise hampered by its lack of content, Kill it with Fire nevertheless entertains quite well.

At the end of the day, Kill It with Fire knows exactly what it wants to be, and succeeds at it in the best way. It's an arachnophobic power fantasy that's just pure, unfiltered fun the whole way through, even if the ride isn't as long as I'd like it to be.

Best experienced in short bursts, if you only play one spider-murder sandbox this year, play Kill It With Fire.

Kill it with fire has a few uniqe elements which make the game fun and entertaining in some aspects, but i can't deny the repetetive gameplay and shortage of mission variety .if you really love oldschool shooters like painkiller, this game can satisfy you.

Whilst Kill it With Fire is a short experience, there's still enough here to justify the budget asking price. It's the kind of game that you're unlikely to return to after having completed it, but you probably already expected that. It might not have the legs to be an epic saga, but if you want a few hours of silly enjoyment then you could do a lot worse than picking up this game.

If spiders really, really piss you off, Kill it with Fire provides you with some cool and nasty ways to kill them and get yourself some satisfaction. If you don't mind them, don't mind this game either.

Even from such a simple activity as killing spiders, a decent amount of fun can be made. It's just a little short

Kill It With Fire is a great title, whether you love those eight-legged arachnids or you’re terrified of them. Being able to burn them alive, hit them with frying pans or shoot them with a shotgun is both satisfying and fun. It’s also very easy to pick up and play, so it’s something that everyone can enjoy. Go on – finally get revenge on those spiders that have terrorised your home for so long.

Kill It With Fire offers an inventive proposal that is lost by not evolving the concept of the absurd that the game itself presents. It is a fun game, but it could be much more if it dared to go beyond a repeated idea over the few hours of the campaign.

As addictive as Kill It With Fire is, the game is unfortunately quite short. The side quests and unlockables add to the game's length, but it can be completed in an evening. This however doesn't denounce the fact that Kill It With Fire is a good time. Though some hit detection issues can get in the way, when combining organic humour, tense stand offs, and ridiculous moments, the game serves as an excellent distraction that could be picked up and played by anyone.

Kill It With Fire is fun. While it's just about as bare bones as you can get and totally lacks the variety you'd want from a more long-term experience, there's just something about repeatedly murdering spiders in various ways that puts a smile on your face. For those looking for something simple to mess around with on occasion (or as a way to vent stress) you'd do well looking into this one, while those looking for something more full-fledged should probably keep moving down the line.

A powerful and hooligan premise cannot always sustain the total within a game. And Kill it with Fire is powerfully flashy, but with little baggage. Making the cenutrium killing spiders is fun, but the passage of time makes the proposal not so convincing, even opening its levels more and offering more possible, objectives and a system of improvements and obtaining more equipment and weapons. An attractive idea that is not carried out as it should by turning it into a complete and commercial game.
