School Girl/Zombie Hunter had the potential to be a B-movie style good time that unfortunately is so bad that it's bad.

2 / 5.0 - Randall

Randall should be better than this. It's got all the elements in place to be good but they just don't work right.

2 / 5.0 - Drive Girls
Sep 13, 2017

For a game like Drive Girls, having me handle the review is the closest the developer can get to “Easy Mode.” I'm more than willing to turn off the brain and get washed away in a sea of silliness, only to emerge with a big smile on my face and picking seaweed out of my hair.

The developer got some of it right, but the vast majority of this game is riddled with too many cracks in the facade, indicating it was launched way too soon.

2 / 5.0 - Husk
Feb 11, 2017

Despite its ambitious stride to tell a gripping tale of a father/husband striving desperately to look for his missing family, Husk's end delivery is anything but.

Saban’s Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Mega Battle is a love letter to both the show and beat-em-ups that falls short of reaching its goals. The franchise’s earliest games were largely better than this, and while this does scratch a nostalgia itch to some degree, it isn’t a satisfying gaming experience. Movesets are far too lean and there are too few enemies to keep the action interesting for very long. Dedicated fans of the show may want to check it out, but everyone else can safely skip it.

With frustrating tech, unappealing appearance and a lack of quality of life streamlining, Torment: Tides of Numenera might actually be my biggest gaming-related disappointment since I bought an Atari Jaguar. Some of the complaints mentioned here, especially exploration (wrongly as load times weren’t this bad), could be leveled at Planescape: Torment, but many years have gone by with many new ideas to make gaming experiences more engrossing.

The ideas behind Loading Human: Chapter 1 are exciting, but they don’t get to shine like they should due to a weird control scheme and ineffective acting.

2 / 5.0 - Shiny

There are always going to be games released that don’t quite meet the high’s you’re led to believe prior to getting rigorously stuck into the depth of gameplay and technical stability underpinning the experience.

2 / 5.0 - Dreambreak
Jul 23, 2016

Dreambreak may look pretty on the outside, but peeling back its pixelated style and impressive music reveals the dull story, flat characters, lack of substance and clunky gameplay within.

2 / 5.0 - Shattered Skies
Jul 25, 2016

Shattered Skies is simply another half-baked multiplayer sandbox that has been thrown together with no real identity. It completely ignores a potentially interesting premise in order to facilitate an endless grind for loot. The lack of structure in multiplayer sandbox survival games is a staple of the genre, however, in most of these games, the mechanics and environment are designed to facilitate player generated purpose and/or narrative.

2 / 5.0 - Rising Islands
Jul 26, 2016

Inevitably, Rising Islands can be identified quite easily as a title riddled with far too many lack-luster components and even its core gameplay can’t prevent it from feeling both under-baked and underdeveloped.

It’s clear that Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutants in Manhattan was aiming to be Left 4 Dead with Ninja Turtles, which does sound awesome, but it’s too focused with cramming in elements from other games as well, including the classic TMNT arcade brawlers and Arkham Asylum (down to the Detective Vision and stealth takedowns).

2 / 5.0 - Slain
