Ash of Gods: Redemption is a hodgepodge of a lot of interesting ideas that could've been weaved together, but weren't.

While I liked this far more than Wildlands it still has a fair way to go before it's as entertaining to play as some of the other shooters out there. It needed more going on; more variety and more spontaneity to take it up a notch and push it towards being an essential purchase. In its current state, it's just not "there" yet.

5.7 / 10.0 - Metamorphosis
Aug 31, 2020

When all is said and done, Metamorphosis is a relatively solid game. It's not without its faults but it does what it was trying to do; to tell a Kafkaesque story. It's an interesting game, certainly, but doesn't have much staying power.

5.8 / 10.0 - Sovereign Syndicate

While it packs an original setting and gameplay twist, Sovereign Syndicate would have benefitted from a narrower scope and improved execution.

5.8 / 10.0 - Deliver Us Mars
Mar 3, 2023

Far from delivering an out-of-this-world experience, Deliver Us Mars intensifies tedious and unintuitive mechanics from the first entry that even its compelling voice acting cannot save.

5.8 / 10.0 - FORECLOSED
Aug 30, 2021

Foreclosed is a reminder of the adage to not judge a book by its cover as despite its singular, eye-catching comic-book-meets-cyberpunk aesthetic and some promising mechanics, the execution is a botched one.

While Ary and the Secret of Seasons is an original, feel-good game with an interesting gameplay mechanic, it's still an unpolished game that deserved more fine-tuning to do justice to its scope.

5.8 / 10.0 - JUMP FORCE
Feb 24, 2019

Jump Force is a game that promised so much but delivered so little. It's surprising that it achieved this despite recent anime/manga games faring so well and with such promising content.

It seems Star Ocean fans are let down once again, with another mediocre entry for the series. This is hard to recommend, even to hardcore JRPG fans. Stale combat, and other gameplay issues ultimately prevent this game from being able to stand up with previous, more enjoyable Star Ocean titles.

5.8 / 10.0 - Goat Simulator
Apr 23, 2015

Goat Simulator is funny, it's incredibly stupid, it's utterly simplistic, and it may charm you, or make you look at it with disgust. It's an okay game to pick up and play, but not enough to commit to for days on end. All in all, you just have to decide. Do you want to spend your money to be a Goat?

If you're a Wolfenstein fan, don't buy this game. Not yet at least, wait until it's at least 30-50% off. This game is not worth full price.

They say beauty is in the eye of the beholder. In Andromeda, I was beholden to beautiful environments and robust gameplay, yet marred by inhuman animations and a story more loose than spare change in a long woolen sock. Andromeda is a galaxy of empty promises and one I could not find enjoyment in.

6 / 10.0 - MudRunner VR
Jul 2, 2024

It's an OK experience that won't change the world. Seasoned MudRunners or SnowRunners may get a kick out of this for a few hours, but overall I found it to be pretty mundane beyond the realistic driving elements.

If you're into this style of game, the studio behind it or manga/anime culture and are looking for a jaunt this sequel to 2064 may well be for you!

I went into Naheulbeuk's Dungeon Master really ready to enjoy all the work that goes into making a dungeon great. Unfortunately there just wasn't all that much to do. Between an underbaked tavern, limited dungeon management, and an unbalanced staffing system, it feels like a game that just needed more time to decide what it wanted to be. If it does get updated down the line it may be worth revisiting. As it is now though, I can't say I feel it worth the price of admission.

6 / 10.0 - Evil West
Dec 11, 2022

Evil West is a basic game for basic players. There are no taxing puzzles, no major hurdles to overcome, and no massive pull for me to replay it now it's done. While it can be semi-enjoyable in places, overall Evil West is a disappointingly unremarkable experience in my opinion.

Resident Evil Village: Winter’s Expansion DLC offers plenty for Resident Evil fans to enjoy, from a short new story and more Mercenaries content, to a new way to experience the main story. Nothing here is without its flaws, but the overall experience is passable enough to enjoy.

6 / 10.0 - Sonic Origins
Jun 29, 2022

With the decompilations and Sonic 3: AIR a lot of effort to get working, Sonic Origins is the most accessible way to play these classic games. However, even if you bought the Android ports and owned the ancient version of Sonic 3 on Steam, it'd still be cheaper than buying this collection. I want to love it, because it should be perfect, but winds up being far from it.

Battle League Football is a game I'm happy to see, even if it isn't necessarily the game I wanted. A far more technical game that I don't feel I have the time to master, it sits in a weird spot of not necessarily being bad in its gameplay execution, but falling short on the content required to keep people coming back. I do feel in time that this game has the potential to become great, but we again see a Mario sports game held back by being released half-baked.
