4 / 10 - Beyond Eyes
Oct 1, 2015

There needed to be more of everything in Beyond Eyes – more story, more exploration, and more reasons for said exploration. With such a beautiful art style, Beyond Eyes is really just a huge let-down and clear wasted potential.

Project CARS delivers on its promise of a demanding racing experience that requires skill and knowledge in the automotive space.

5 / 10 - No Man's Sky
Sep 13, 2016

Hello Games has created an overhyped, overpriced, and overall bad game. They had so many opportunities to make it better and lie less while advertising it, yet they didn’t. No Man’s Sky is ambitious, but rubbish.

6 / 10 - Dishonored 2
Nov 29, 2016

Dishonored 2, however unfortunately, feels like a dumbed-down version of its predecessor, when a lot more could have been done to utilise the new hardware and create a fantastic experience, building on that of its predecessor.

Carmageddon: Max Damage sees the player reduce pedestrians to gory slush across several arenas with cars built to cause mass devastation. Despite its issues, the game offers over 30 vehicles, 90 Power Ups, various game modes, several maps, and an Action Replay mode. You could argue that Max Damage would've been perfect back in the 90's or early 2000's when there was nothing else like it.

Assassin's Creed Chronicles: India has competent gameplay and a vibrant touch of colour. However, lacking level design with cheap tactics designed to cause instant fail-states and tedious trailing missions take away from what could be a fantastic experience. Nevertheless, I still look forward to the next Chronicles game, Russia.

Rainbow Six Siege doesn't feel like modern day shooters, instead it's quite different. In some ways, it's refreshing. At other times, it feels like you're either constantly grinding for Renown, or watching a spectate screen.

6 / 10 - Assetto Corsa
Sep 9, 2016

It's a shame really, it really is. I like the PC version of this game, and was excited for it to come to console, it just seems that they haven't quiet managed to pull it off, but fingers crossed it will be fixed in the future. Better late than never.

The collective Ubisoft studios have done a fantastic job in certain aspects of the game, but fallen well short in others. Ghost Recon Wildlands could have been much more than what it is. With some more thought going into the mission and voice scripts, this really could have been the Game of the Year in my opinion. It combines all the aspects of fan-favourite game: an open world, lots of customisation options, and the freedom to complete your task in whatever order you would like to.

7 / 10 - Grid
Oct 14, 2019

Codemasters always nail it with the car elements, like audio, handling, and environments. However, I believe Grid still lacks in the multiplayer, customization, and social aspects of the game. Do you believe jumping down San Francisco in GT3 cars is realistic? No. Is It fun? Hell yes! I’ve been waiting for Grid’s return for a number of years now, and It’s safe to say I’m loving it. Thanks to Codemasters for reviving one of my childhood series, I can’t wait to see what DLC’s and content comes to Grid throughout the years to come!

I doubt anyone asked for the Hot Wheels Expansion, but at the same time, this is the expansion we always wanted to have in Forza. Whilst the execution should've been handled differently, I can't deny how much fun I've had with the Hot Wheels Expansion when playing online with friends.

The Crew: Calling All Units is good for anybody looking to spice up the standard or Wild Run edition of The Crew as they await its sequel coming in 2018, but it's not a necessity.

While The Crew always had a solid and ambitious concept, Wild Run brings it to life with updated next-generation graphics, new vehicle specs for drift, dragsters and monster trucks, and even the introduction of motorcycles. While the handling and physics still remains an issue, it shouldn't prevent you from having fun when playing.

I wouldn't recommend Darksiders 2: Deathinitive Edition to those who already completed the game back in 2012, much like I didn't recommend Dishonored: Definitive Edition to players of the same nature, but it's a great venture to embark on if you haven't already played the last-gen versions.

Need for Speed features a great line-up of cars, backed by the most authentic customization in the history of the franchise. The 'Five Ways to Play' and icons entice you to change up your style as you progress through Ventura Bay. While some issues might be frustrating, such as garage-space, no daytime and frame-rate drops; Ghost Games will hopefully continue to update and enhance Need for Speed in the months to come.

Star Wars Battlefront is a fun experience – with a solid progression system and a variety of game modes (some better than the others.) There's not much content, but it's still a game that will keep you drawn in long enough to unlock some of Battlefront's better equipment that makes map traversal much easier. It's a tough nut to crack, and forgiving some of the obvious flaws it has, I think I'll be playing Battlefront for a while.

7 / 10 - F1 2015
Sep 17, 2015

F1 2015 delivers on its promise of a hard-core simulation F1 experience by including both the F1 2014 and 2015 seasons, along with a great selection of tracks, impressive graphics and the ability to race for whichever F1 team you wish.

7 / 10 - Ride

RIDE was a brave step-forward for Milestone and while the game greatly delivers on content, it has a variety of issues from bugs to crazy-long loading times.

Not the sort of game you'd come back to once the season ends, but it's good fun and I much prefer it over watching the episode by itself.
