That all said, Werewolves Within is a fun way to spend an evening, and it’s currently the most social experience you can have with the PlayStation VR online.
Even if you’re a fan of The Crew, I highly suggest just playing the free parts of The Crew: Calling All Units unless you absolutely cannot do without a shiny new police car.
For decades now, there's been discussion of games as art, and what qualifies or what doesn't, but in my view, art simply has to provoke discussion, emotion or analysis. If one game qualifies for that, it would be The Last Guardian.
Lethal VR is a simple arcade experience that’s probably best tried on the HTC Vive. The PS VR experience, while offering some cool challenges and the ability to try out a bunch of different weapons in VR with PlayStation Move, is lumbered with tracking issues and a short overall length. If these issues can be patched out, it may be worth a pick-up to see what 1:1 gunplay is all about in VR.
Things like grinding, incompetent AI and unrealised affection and attribute systems mean the experience isn’t going to compare against other RPGs on the market. If you’re a fan then there’s a lot to take in, but otherwise there’s little here to keep you interested for long.
It’s true, Resident Evil VII does feel like a magpie – snatching little bits and pieces that catch its eye from horror games across the past decade. Throughout the game, you’ll see chunks from Amnesia, Outlast, P.T., Silent Hill 2, F.E.A.R, and more. But, despite this patchwork, there is one game it feels like most of all – Resident Evil. REVII gets the roots of the series right, and it’s the scariest RE game we’ve played in years, and also the most substantial VR experience money can buy for PlayStation VR.
The attention to detail in Yakuza 0 is nothing short of amazing, and it really is a fun game to just wander around in. Whether it’s the narrow alleys full of signage or the neat neon-lit streets, Yakuza 0 at its core is what Japan is all about.

If a third-person tactical shooter with a range of difficulties, different ways to play, co-op options and lengthy open-world missions sounds like something up your alley but you haven’t ventured into the Sniper Elite universe yet, go ahead and give it a crack.
Fans of the Halo lore may have been hyped by the fact that Halo Wars 2 takes place post-Halo 5, meaning that chronologically it should further the overarching narrative currently taking place in the mainline games. However, this isn’t really the case – Halo Wars 2 is still firmly a side story, and seemingly takes no advantage of the new time period it takes place in.
I should know better at this point than to doubt the talent of Double Fine and Tim Schafer, as within minutes of slipping on my PlayStation VR headset to play The Rhombus of Ruin, it all came flooding back to me.
To see, feel, and experience Nier: Automata in your hands nearly seven years after its predecessor…is like a blip from another timeline, crossed over to our own in a moment of bewildering brilliance.
If you feel like playing an old-style game brought to today’s standards, there are plenty of other games that are more deserving of your money.
RiME is beautifully short. It’s a game which could have been so much more, yet you’ll be happy with what it has become.
There are some faults which prevent it from becoming a truly standout title, but it’s a no-brainer for fans and those who are interested the Sengoku era of Japan.
However, what Bridge Crew does succeed in creating is the sense of teamwork and camaraderie that all Star Trek shares. It feels like the next evolution of a Dungeons & Dragons campaign, or a virtual reality LARP.
With some more technical and balance patches Impact Winter may become worth your money, but right now it should be avoided just like a real apocalyptic situation should be.
With a robust roster, challenging and technical gameplay that’s also accessible to newcomers, and plenty of content to keep you occupied both online and offline, Tekken 7 is an easy pick if you’re after a new fighting game to master.
WipEout Omega Collection is a must-buy if you have any love or nostalgia at all for the series, as it looks fantastic, plays extremely smoothly and has enough content to keep you busy for months.
Morrowind has turned The Elder Scrolls Online into the MMORPG that it deserves to be, and we are very excited to see what ZeniMax Online Studios does next with the game.
