Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty Complete Edition embarks on an ambitious yet flawed Souls-Like journey. While the engaging combat system, captivating RPG elements, and impressive aesthetics shine through, they are hindered by a lack of difficulty balance, a rushed narrative conclusion, and notable technical issues. It is imperative for the developers to address these performance issues promptly, elevating the game to the standard expected with its price tag and ensuring a more enjoyable and stable experience for players eager to immerse themselves in the world of Wo Long.

Despite being in development hell for almost 8 years, Granblue Fantasy: Relink surpassed my initial troubled expectations. With its beautiful animations, addicting combat, and varied character roster, Relink is undoubtedly an experience that will appeal to fans of the series and the action RPG genre in general, especially the end-game multiplayer content. However, as a standalone solo-player JRPG experience, it’s a generic and bland affair.

KONOSUBA – God’s Blessing on this Wonderful World! Love For These Clothes Of Desire! is a game that is only suitable for the hardcore fans of the series, who might enjoy seeing their favorite characters in different outfits and scenarios. However, for anyone else, the game is just a boring anime dress-up game with a shallow story and little replay value. The game is not worth the time or money, and it does not do justice to the original series. The game is a mediocre and disappointing adaptation of a wonderful and hilarious anime and light novel series.

Chronique des Silencieux is a game that could have been a great detective adventure, but is ruined by its poor translation and lack of guidance. The game’s story is intriguing, but is obscured by the errors and inconsistencies in the text. The game’s gameplay is challenging, but is hindered by the confusion and frustration caused by the translation and the lack of direction. The game’s graphics and sound are decent, but are not enough to save the game from its flaws. 4.5 / 10.0 - Roots of Yggdrasil
Jan 28, 2024

Roots of Yggdrasil had the potential to offer a unique blend of mythology and gameplay, but its inability to break free from the shackles of repetitiveness and lackluster execution of key features relegates it to mediocrity. The vibrant world and diverse characters offer fleeting moments of intrigue, but they are ultimately overshadowed by the game’s failure to deliver a consistently engaging experience. Roots of Yggdrasil struggles to plant its roots firmly in the competitive landscape of roguelike city-building games.

Turnip Boy Robs A Bank is a bit on the shorter side, I was able to finish the majority of the content by the 5th hour or so which isn’t too bad for this type of game. I’m sure people will come up with different types of challenges for themselves such as only using starting weapons, no passive upgrades, and things of this nature to get a bit more mileage from Turnip Boy Robs A Bank. I definitely enjoyed my time with it and with it being on sale currently on Steam and also available on Gamepass it is hard not to recommend giving the game a playthrough if you like these style of games.

The Last of Us Part II Remastered might not be the remaster that players have asked for, but surely one that everyone can appreciate. Both games in The Last of Us franchise are now easily accessible side by side on the PlayStation 5 and can be enjoyed by returning and new players alike. The added visual flares and technical improvements are the cherries on top, but the addictive No Return roguelike mode among intimate commentary and pre-alpha levels are what make this the definitive sequel experience.
